Jovie’s POV
My head felt foggy and disoriented.
My vision blurred as I opened my eyes and tried to focus. I was in a dimly lit room, on a mattress. I tried to get up, but found out that I was handcuffed to bar on the wall. I tugged at it, but nothing happened.
“Hello?” I called out. “Reno! Reno, help me!”
The door opened and in walked Tommy. He looked positively thrilled to see me.
“The great Jovie Wimberley seems afraid,”
“You think I’m great?” I whispered.
“Is anything serious for you?” Tommy asked.
