Brielle's POV

Sunlight pouring from windows against my eyelids stirred me awake. I groaned into the sheets as I chose to keep my eyes shut.

For the first time in a long time, I didn’t jolt up to nightmares or look up at the ceiling to distract myself for an hour or two. Instead, I remained in bed, wrapped in some intoxicating warmth that didn't seem to be coming from the blankets itself, but from the cologne trailing along my skin.

Axel.

I froze as memories of last night rushed back instantly. Our fight, the walk outside, the car, the threat, the panic, and then…him.

I shouldn’t have remembered the way his voice controlled me into listening to him or the heat of his palm against my back as he breathed against my skin. I didn't know what he was thinking, but it worked.

Maybe a little too well.

But God, the way he held me tight. It made me forget for a second what I was actually scared about.

And I definitely shouldn’t have remembered the soft feeling of his lips on my forehea

  • After He Took It All   The Call

Brielle's POV Dozens of papers littered across the desk in front of me—neatly stacked moments before I arrived, but scattered when I did, with Axel currently dragging another binder into place. Numbers, charts, contracts were all I stared at for several hours—it was overwhelming, but the strange part?I was keeping up.“Good,” he said, sliding yet another page towards me. His tone was sharp, precise…maybe a little too professional, but his eyes… his eyes lingered too long. I knew he was staring. “Now, what’s your next move?”I swallowed, gripping the pen hard as tension surged through me. I could hear the voices telling me to give up—to let it go—but I bit them back, forcing the exhaustion into adrenaline instead. “Counter… here,” I muttered, circling the wrong column before realizing it on time.Damn it.Then, finally I met his gaze, my cheeks slowly reddening with guilt and embarrassment as I pulled back. “Sorry, I didn't, I wasn't—”“Brielle.” His voice cut me off like a whisper,

  • After He Took It All   Burn Them Down

Brielle's POV I stiffened from the recognition, feeling my chest tightened with suppressed emotions that I'd kept for so long. Slowly, I turned towards the direction of the voice. Jason. He stood across the aisle—the irony—his daughter’s hand in his, his face fading from what looked like surprise to anger in seconds. His eyes darted between me, Sophia, and Linda, immediately reading the scene in the room. Then, he was storming towards me before I could move back, suddenly gripping me hard enough to put a bruise on my arms. “What the hell do you think you’re doing here? Lurking around with Axel like some… opportunist, huh? What gave you the fucking right to be with my brother, Brielle? What fucking gave you the right to twist the clauses in the documents? I mean, if you wanted me, you didn't need papers to beg me!” He snapped. Shocked, I yanked my arm free, glaring up at him with all the hatred I’d been holding back. “And what gave you the fucking right to touch me? You don’t o

  • After He Took It All   Aisle But The Different One

Brielle's POV To celebrate even the tiniest progress I'd made, I made up my mind to have a day to myself. Just one day. A day without the fear of something unfortunate happening. A day where I could admire the streets and cafés like every normal person can. A day where the word normal could finally be tagged alongside with my name. “Brielle,” Axel’s voice pulled me back into reality as I sank further in my seat, the city rolling by in blurred lines of glass and the city's lights. “You’ve been zoning out really hard since I asked what you came up with. What’s on your mind?” I swallowed a smile. Too many things, actually. Cafés I’d never sat in. Shops I’d only glanced at while struggling to keep my pockets from running dry. Even Karaoke... A sense of nostalgia hit me at once—the painful kind. Too many options, and for a moment, I couldn’t even choose which life I wanted to pick for a few hours. “Nothing,” I said under my breath, noticing how my fingers tapped against my laps,

  • After He Took It All   Payback

Jason's POV“You're such a bad boy.” Shayla whispered in my ears as I cornered her by the wall. I scoffed, and grabbed her chin, glaring down at her before pinning her over the desk. “And you're such an obedient girl.”She moaned softly at that. One that sounded like she loved the thrill from it.As I grabbed her hair and pressed against her, I closed my eyes briefly, letting my imagination run wild.“You wore this for me, didn't you?” I whispered, spanking her exposed cheeks as she intentionally pressed herself against me.Then, without hesitation, I tossed out my buckles and let my dick spring out freely, already dripping with precum from our session from earlier. And without warning her, I slid in, filling her up instantly with a grunt of satisfaction. She moaned, jerking back against me when she realized that I wasn't consistent like I'd always been.“What's wrong?” She asked, peeking out from the front.“You can tell?” I looked down at her, slightly surprised because whenever it

  • After He Took It All   Revenge

Brielle's POV “Ma’am, Ma’am, you can’t go that way!” the receptionist barked from behind, but I was already too far ahead for her to catch up. With a sharp huff, I shoved the double doors open and froze in disbelief. My eyes widened as they narrowed down on the scene in front of me: Mr. Anderson—this same man handling my case on ground—leaning back in his chair with a woman perched seductively on his lap. “Oh my God—” I snapped my gaze away from them reflexively, relieved for at least one positive thing here: they were fully clothed. No revealing skin to the eyes. No suspicious spills of fluid trailing across the tiles—what a relief! Just the suggestive tension of something that shouldn’t have been happening in his damn office. The woman flashed a sweet smile at me, her eyes glaring with a quiet malice, like I'd interrupted the best time of her life. My lips tired into a frown as I tried to ignore her while she made her dramatic exit. With a slow stretch, she slid off his lap,

  • After He Took It All   CHECKMATE

Brielle's POV Unfortunately, the skies chose today of all days to finally rain without a care in the world. And no matter how much of a smile I plastered on my face, deep down, I was starting to actually regret not listening to Axel's suggestion on making everything casual. Ugh, I wished I could wipe that smug off his face right now. Axel's eyes briefly locked with mine from the rearview mirror as he turned away to focus on the building we just pulled into. I didn't miss out the little twitch at the corner of his lips though. The one that showed how much he was holding back from saying ‘told you so’. “Are you sure about this?” Axel asked besides me, his hands still on the steering wheel as his gaze still didn't shift from mine, making me all too aware of my drenched top. I stared at the building through the fogged windshield, taking a deep breath before turning to him with a firm nod, ignoring the knots slowly building up in my gut. “A small cold won't stop me from doing thi
