Chapter 1

The local courier service was astonishingly fast.

Twenty minutes later, a coil of sturdy black nylon rope was delivered straight into my hands.

I carried the rope and angrily pushed open the master bedroom door.

Xavier Cooper was still lying with his back to me, his breathing deep and even.

For the past three years, I had foolishly revolved around him like an unwanted admirer.

Every day, I questioned whether I was too lacking in tenderness or consideration for him to want to touch me.

The comments on-screen continued to scroll:

[The male lead has unbelievable self-control. The supporting female character throws herself at him every day, yet he remains completely unmoved. If I didn’t know he later sleeps with our female lead every day, I’d think he was impotent.]

[Exactly! Who would have thought that the cold, abstinent heir of the city’s most powerful family is secretly a possessive lunatic who enjoyed forcing people into love?]

[When the female lead returns to the country, he will lock her in his residence for seven days and seven nights. Now that’s what I call exciting!]

I stood beside the bed, staring at Xavier’s cool, flawless profile, my teeth aching with anger.

So it wasn’t that he couldn’t perform. He had just been making me live like a widow while saving all his energy for another woman?!

He liked forcing people into love?

Then today, I would show him exactly how cruel the world could be!

I acted on impulse, swiftly unfolding the nylon rope and looping it around his strong, bony wrist.

Xavier was a light sleeper. The moment the first loop tightened, his eyes flew open.

A flash of surprise crossed those usually calm eyes.

“Willow, what the hell are you doing?”

He instinctively tried to pull free, but I was quick enough to fasten the knot tightly around the bed frame.

Thankfully, I was strong. Otherwise, I really wouldn’t have been able to restrain him.

I straddled his waist, planted my hands on my hips, and glared at him furiously.

“How else could I possibly live up to the special fetish you’ve been hiding for three years, Mr. Cooper?”

Xavier’s eyes widened sharply, and a faint edge of anger entered his normally calm voice.

“What kind of nonsense are you pulling? Untie me!”

He struggled forcefully, and the black nylon rope immediately dug a red mark into his pale wrist.

The fury in his eyes made my heart jolt.

Oh no. Maybe I had acted a little too impulsively.

I stared at the mark around his wrist and swallowed. Half of the reckless anger that had possessed me moments ago instantly faded.

I stammered.

“W-Well… I was just…”

I was trying to find a way to back down when several bold red comments suddenly drifted across the screen:

[Holy crap! What is this vicious supporting character doing?! How dare she touch the male lead?]

[The disposable supporting character needs to get lost! The male lead belongs to the female lead!]

[Someone as desperate as you isn’t even worthy of putting shoes on him. Don’t use your filthy hands to defile him!]

[Male lead, push her away! Your first time has to belong to the female lead!]

Defile him? Filthy hands? Disposable supporting character?!

The last thread of reason in my mind snapped with a sharp twang.

I had still been a little timid, but now my anger shot straight through the roof!

I had a terrible temper, and the thing I hated most was having someone point at my face and insult me.

Since they said I was defiling him, I would show them exactly how I could corrupt him!

“You’re not completely indifferent to sex, are you?”

I grabbed the collar of his pajamas and leaned toward him with a vicious glare.

“You just don’t want to touch me because you hate me, right?”

Xavier’s body suddenly went rigid, and his breathing fell completely out of rhythm.

He stared at me in shock.

“What nonsense are you talking about?”

“I’m not talking nonsense!”

I grabbed his collar, yanked it open, and kissed him.

“Then let’s see you turn me down tonight!”
