Chapter 22: It HURTS
The water around me loses its serenity, as circular ripples form on the surface. I raise my eyes hoping to see Adria, but my eyes drop as I see Lycan standing - naked. Her blue eyes reflected the silver of the moon, turning grey, piercing my gaze.
I know Lycan likes me. It’s easy to make out from the way she acts, but I can't reciprocate her feelings. Not now, or, ever when all I have in my mind is Adria.

The bushes along the palace walls rustle the black silhouette in them, crawling on its knees. The cat eyes scan through the palace grounds, keeping a close look on the Queen, and her now concubine. The silhouette shuffles, the rustle blending with the wind, as the person climbs towards the west wing of the palace. The west wing is full of secrets. Dirty secrets from the royals, and their ancestors. The same black silhouette makes its way down through the grey, brown walls walking to the room at the farthest right corner. Wood creeks open, the moon casting its silver over the person sitting in the middle.
