I Hate The Stone Cold King

Alena laughed at the joke Milena was telling her. Ever since Milena has guided her up to the room, she has been trying to take her mind off the tension in the throne room earlier but something was still bothering Alena and she doesn't think she would ever sleep if she does not get it off her chest...

“ Milena” Alena called to her as she was ransacking through her bag for a dress that would fit Alena.

“ Yes, is there anything you need?” Milena veered around to ask her before turning to focus on the door. She knew that her brother was eavesdropping on them but she didn't want him to listen to them, which was why she blocked the mind l**k...

“ What do mates mean? I mean I don't know what that woman with white hair said earlier means?” Alena asked her as confusion etched her brows. She was still trying to wrap her head around the mate thing and why Aedon would reject her. 

Was that a new slang around here? But why does her heartache so much like she just lost someone who she loves dearly? It feels exactly like when her mom died but this was worse. 

“ Aria? The woman with the white hair is Aria” Milena corrected Alena who nodded in understanding. Milena was confused, how was she supposed to explain the mate thing without telling Alena their secrets.

“ Mates are people predestined to be together by someone who is above everyone else,” Milena informed her in her little understanding. She hopes Alena understands cause there was no way she could explain that any further.

“ Predestined? You mean like soulmates?” Alena asked Milena, shocked. Though she didn't see how Aedon and her could be soulmates as this was the first time they were meeting except from the dreamland.

Milena smiled excitedly, even though she didn't know what soulmate was in the human's language. The mate thing there did the trick for her“ Yes, something like that” 

Alena growled in anger. How dare that stone-cold man? How can he reject someone he barely knows? Alena glared, clenching and unclenching her fists in anger. It took all her willpower not to match back into the throne room and give him a piece of her mind. If only she knew, she would have rejected him more brutally. Can you imagine that?

“ Are you alright?” Milena asked Alena, her hands pausing on the dress in her hands as she turned to take in Alena's annoyed expression. She could see the aura of anger oozing out of her, she hoped that anger wasn't directed at her.

“ I'm okay. I would like to go to bed now if you don't mind” Alena answered after some time. Milena nodded and handed the dress to Alena who collected it and put it on before going over to the bed to sleep but she couldn't sleep as her mind was fixed on how she could make Aedon pay for rejecting her.

After some time, Alena gave up hope of ever falling asleep as everything was new to her. She wasn't comfortable sleeping on someone else's bed and she misses her father and grandmother a lot...

Alena stood up and tiptoed out of the room afraid of waking Milena up but unknown to her, Milena was already up and watching her with curiosity on her face. She wanted to follow her out but chose to ignore it and went back to sleep.

Alena stepped out of the room, closing the door gently behind her, she took the stairs down to the kitchen where she saw some people preparing things for the following day, Alena wanted to take permission from them to step out but they went about their duties without acknowledging her presence. 

Alena shrugged and walked out, she also wasn't in the mood to talk to anyone for now. She strolled into the garden and saw a big pool at the edge hidden in between two big trees. Alena was excited, she ran to the pool and got out her dress. She entered the pool and let herself sink in it...

The water was calming to her body, she smiled and closed her eyes as she savored the soothing effect of the water. It calms her nerves. She was thankful that it was in the middle of the night, no one would be able to see her bathing here.

Alena's mind went back to Aedon, she has never struck him as someone who will be self-centered and arrogant. To think she was saving up her virginity for him, ever since she started having sex with him in her dream. She was intrigued by him and vowed never to have sex with any other man only to be rejected almost as soon as she met him.

“ Damn! That stone cold man! I hate him so much” Alena yelled into the night sky. She looked up as tears spilled down her face. It was an irony! Life was an irony! Playing with my emotions, Alena swore softly as she wiped her eyes with her hands in anger. 

She was surprised to see that she was crying for a man who doesn't even want to have anything to do with her but why? She hasn't wronged him in any way, as far as she knew, this was their first time meeting in reality. Why then would he reject him?

Alena was just about to sink into the water when she felt a shadow move away from the wall and walked to meet her. Alena quivered as she struggled to keep calm. Her legs were fidgeting in fear. Alena turned to swim back to the other side of the pool away from the shadow which seemed to have paused. 

As soon as Alena got to the other side of the pool, she was about to rest her back on the rim when she heard the loudest howl from the far side of the mountain. Alena scrambled out of the pool, scared as she ran in the direction of the shadow she saw earlier, screaming

“ Help! Somebody, please save me” Alena cried, she ran full flesh into the shadow who was already coming to meet her.

Aedon pulled her into his body and hugged her tightly while she tried to calm her nerves. He felt her struggling to disguise her tears, as he felt her heart beating more than the normal rate.

Aedon cursed inwardly as he made a mental note to warn his warriors from howling at night. From today onward, everyone should be using the mind l**k if they want to communicate with each other in their wolf form instead of howling.

He was glad to have followed her here, else she would have injured herself from running. Aedon felt Alena stirred in his hands as she was trying to free herself from him, he looked down only then did he discover that she was naked. Her opulent skin glistened under the moonlight. Her blonde hair was plastered to her skin due to the water she was in earlier. Aedon lifted his hands to remove the hair from her face as he gazed into her emerald eyes. 

Aedon sucked in breaths, he has never seen anyone as beautiful as she was right now. Aedon's erection sprang up as soon as he felt her nipple tightened in response to his erratic heartbeat. He bent slowly, about to capture her lips in a hungry kiss.

Alena pulled out of his hands pushing him away from him as soon as she saw his head bending slightly to kiss her. After rejecting her in front of everyone, now he thinks he has the right to kiss her. No, she will never allow him!

Alena dragged her clothes from the floor and rushed to get into it while watching Aedon's expressionless face. She brushed past him as soon as she was fully dressed, whispering a silent ‘goodnight’ to him on her way to her room.

Alena got back to bed with an overly beating heart escalating in her chest. She didn't believe she had the gut to overcome such a tempting offer earlier but she was glad she did. Now, she's going to show him why he shouldn't have rejected her.

Alena was aroused the next morning by Milena, she groaned and stretched her body grumbling under her breath. She didn't like being woken up but she had no choice but to conform. 

Alena stood up from the bed, she walked to stare out of the window and was surprised to see everywhere still dark“ It isn't morning yet, Milena. Why will you wake me now when the sleep was just getting sweet” Alena protested jokingly as she turned to glare at Milena who was dressed in hunting attire.

“ And where are you going to dress like that?” Alena proceeded after she took in Milena's outfit which consisted of black jeans, a white shirt, and a body shield trap to her chest.

Milena smiled at her as she thrust a similar outfit at a shocked Alena“ I'm going training and so are you. Get dressed and meet me at the field”

Alena collected the clothes and turned them in her hands, she turned to see Milena already walking to the door“ But I don't want to train” Alena protested furiously but Milena was already out of the room to hear her plea.

Alena shrugged and walked into the bathroom to bathe. She tried to put on the clothes after she was through but it was too long for her. Alena went down to the kitchen and found a knife lying useless on the table, she picked it up and ran back to the room. She cut off the extra length of both the shirt and trousers making it a crop shirt and a bum short.

Alena smiled, excited at her creation. She quickly dressed, happy that she wasn't going to put on any long clothes anymore as she can always make them herself.

Immediately Alena stepped into the said training field, all eyes turned to stare at her shocked. The men were audaciously checking her out while the women were green in envy but Alena doesn't give a damn! As long as their king had rejected her, she was going to make all of them pay for humiliating her.

Her eyes scan the crowd searching for one man but he was nowhere to be found, Alena also noticed that Bryan was also missing in the field. Maybe they have some kind of meeting, Alena shrugged as she saw Milena coming to meet her with an angry look on her face.

“ What are you putting on, Alena?” Milena complained to her as soon as she got to her side. Alena turned to smile at her ignoring her angry look as she whispered to her in a gentle voice.

“ I'm sorry but the clothes were too long for me. I couldn't train in that without humiliating myself” Alena answered gently, giving Milena her best puppy's look. 

Milena shrugged, there was no need getting angry with Alena. She was right, she wasn't used to their way of training. She could wear the short one for now until she gets used to the longer version of the clothes“ Okay. Everyone to your formation. We are starting with the backstretch. One two three!”

Everyone scrambles to spread out to their specific position leaving a shocked Alena in their middle. Alena got into position bending down and shooting her buttocks out. 

All the men all turned to take in her long tan leg, dragging their eyes up to her derriere.

Alena could feel their eyes on her. She wasn't angry with them but rather she was enjoying their attention. It shows that she was still desirable as a woman and wanted by ________

“ What are you putting on?” Alena came out of her thoughts to see an irritated Aedon frowning at her from the steps of the mansion.

Alena stood up with a smile on her face, feigning ignorance as to what was happening around her“ Why? I'm exercising. I think it was the backstretch, right Milena?” Alena called sweetly to Milena who smiled at her as she bent to stretch her back again to emphasize her point.

Alena smiled when she saw the furious look on his face. She suddenly knew how she was going to make Mr. Stone Cold pay for rejecting her?
