FAZER LOGINREBEKAH just finished stitching up a sentinel's sword wound, and gave him a professional pat on the arm.
"You're good to go." She smiled. "Thank you, Luna." The man grinned in return, before stepping down the bed and making his way out. She released a low sigh of exhaustion and looked outside the window. The sun was most certainly scorching, and she already felt tired at the thought of strolling under that sun, back to the Alpha's stead for lunch. But then, when sheDRAEKON felt his entire body go hot. His lower body seemed a bit too excited, and it scared him. He could feel Vaelora's finger pull against his hair, and it made him lose more control. They both moaned into the kiss like they had been waiting for this opportunity the whole time. But more than anything, he wanted to talk to her right then. He wanted her to give him a good excuse as to why she hurt him so badly. A good excuse that would ensure he didn't lose her. He COULDN'T lose her. He wouldn't be able to bear it. Not after reminding himself of what her lips tasted like. He slowed down on the kiss, wanting to pull away, but Vaelora's hand wandered down his body and rested on his crotch. Draekon was already so hard, and... Cursed claws! She was going to be his undoing. "Please..." She whispered in tears, needing him so badly. She had gone weeks... No. A whole month without him! She couldn't bear it anymore. Not anymore. She
DRAEKON and Ambrose had arrived the Royal House very late that night. It was probably midnight already. As their horses trotted in, Draekon looked over the expanse of the royal estates, and he could swear he saw a very familiar figure walking towards the perimeters of the hunting grounds. Swiftly, he jumped off his horse and Ambrose did same. The sentinels quickly collected the reins of their horses and led them toward the stables. Ambrose started heading toward the foyer, but frowned when he noticed Draekon going the opposite way. "Where are you going?" Ambrose asked in confusion. "Somewhere." Draekon muttered, his face contouring in what seemed like annoyance. Ambrose watched silently as Draekon headed down the royal estates and after a while, he released a tired sigh and headed in, quite eager to be in the arms of his mate. While they had finished up with their investigations the same day they left for Chief Doughan's, Draek
DRAEKON sat alone at the balcony of the Chief Doughan's residence. He and Ambrose had been there for the past two days, after concluding the final part of their investigations regarding the night Chief Doughan's residence was attacked. Apparently, that wasn't the only thing that occured that night. The Chief's residence was the closest to the border, and majority of the sentinels stationed at the border had rushed over there to help during the attack. The few others who had remained to stand guard at the border however, were all... killed. Shockingly. All, except one of the sentinels who was noted to still have a pulse while the bodies were being evacuated. Darren. Draekon found it fishy that the remaining sentinels at the border were killed, when the attack had been at Chief Doughan's residence, and not the border. He had been planning to look deeper into the case, but then returned home to meet the situation with Vaelora and Dione, and wen
LATER THAT EVENING, they a made their way down for dinner, and Rebekah noticed how tense the atmosphere was. Vaelora had mentioned to her that one of the noble ladies had insulted her and caused a scene during dinner two days ago, and was punished by Alpha Noir. But Rebekah was glad Vaelora wasn't letting anything get to her. She concentrated on her meal and ate. Rebekah noticed she had such great appetite that night, and would have probably finished the meal on her plate, if not for the next drama that unfolded. The dramas? They were really unending! A sentinel had shown up during dinner, clearly looking flustered as he bent to whisper something into Beta Tobias' ear. Tobias looked between Zayn and Alpha Noir, probably mindlinking them. Their exchanges hadn't gone unnoticed by Rebekah. She also noticed how quickly Zayn's face fell. Vaelora noticed Zayn's sudden change in mood, and leaned closer to him. "Are you okay?" She
TWO DAYS LATER. VAELORA sat still as Rebekah recounted the whole event to her. How they had gotten ambushed on their way to Iron-Vale, and how the very man who raped her years ago, had been a part of the attack. "I felt like I lost my mind for a moment." Rebekah muttered, her eyes far off. Vaelora felt sorry for making her have to retell such a horrible event. "I'm so sorry you had to go through this." Vaelora said softly, taking Rebekah's hand in hers and squeezing supportively. In that moment, she blamed herself. Maybe if she hadn't sent word to Rebekah about the pregnancy and her return to Iron-Vale, Rebekah wouldn't have made that dreadful trip in the first place. "I know what you're thinking." Rebekah frowned. "It's not your fault. Don't blame yourself for the sins of another man." "I put you in danger." Vaelora's heart was hurting. "But I'm safe now." Rebekah reasoned. "Khol'an protected me." Tears clogged her e
VAELORA was running, but Zayn followed behind and grabbed her arm. "Please don't run." He whispered beside her. "It's not safe." Vaelora understood what he meant, seeing as she was just recovering. She released hot breath, blinking a couple of times and trying to get herself together. She gave an obedient nod before resuming her steps and heading out of the foyer. She sighted the carriage with Blood Crescent's provincial crest on it, and the sentinels assisting Khol'an out of it. Another sentinel emerged from the other side of the carriage with Rebekah in his arms. It was dark, but Vaelora could tell Rebekah was unconscious. The tears had already clouded her eyes. "Rebekah!!" She yelled in fear, jogging towards them. "Rebekah!!" She could see much clearly now, and Rebekah's dress was drenched in blood at the chest area. "To the infirmary." Draekon's firm voice sounded behind, and the sentinel began heading towards the royal
SHE OPENED her eyes slowly, her head still heavy from sleep. She gave in to the habit that had quickly turned into a morning ritual over the months, turning to her side to check for Draekon. She was met with an empty space. For a long moment, she just stared at the empty spot, unable to tell
The moment he slid inside her, she released a sharp cry, blood rushing to her face. It was pain. But a different kind. "Are you okay?" He whispered against her lips, trying not to move within her just yet. "Hmm..." She gave a muffled response, nodding as she grabbed his arms tightly. She
"She needs the Veylor." Rebekah muttered. "No...." Vaelora gasped, struggling against the sheets. "I'm sorry, Lora." Rebekah sighed. "But whatever pain you're feeling now, is just a tiny fragment of what is to come. We haven't even gone halfway through the night. You need your mate." "Nooo.
DRAEKON released a low sigh as Lady Saphaira whispered inaudible apologies beside him, her hands jittery with fear. He had to leave bed earlier than he wished to this morning, because it was Lady Saphaira's last day in the House of Veylor, and he was supposed to spend the day with her, before she
