ALICE 

Marcy made sure that my belly was full before I set off after lunch. While it always felt foreign and a little painful to leave, it hurt a little less this time as the anticipation of what awaited for me in Berkton bubbled up inside of me. 

I tried to suppress the feelings of being away from my mates while I was here, but the urge to close the distance between us was always there, and now that the decision had been made to go back, it was growing painful to stay away. 

The feeling was so familiar, the pain of being away from the pack and my siblings so similar, and yet starkly different. 

"I'm in town next weekend to meet with a new client," Nixon leant over the door as I lowered into my vehicle, "I'll swing by."
