Lyra POV
It totally felt much like I was living in a nightmare already, a never-ending cycle of despair and hopelessness .
The arrangements had been made already, and I was to be sold to the Dark Shadow pack, the most dangerous pack that I have heard about.
I couldn't believe it at all. I just couldn't believe that my father would stoop so low as to sell me like a piece of property even despite happening to be his first daughter and his Omega wolf daughter.
As I was led away in chains around me, I caught a glimpse of my stepmother's smug expression which made me more sad than ever.
She had won finally. She had finally gotten rid of me as she had always wished for.
The journey to the Dark Shadow pack was long and arduous though but I was forced to walk for hours without stop with, my wrists and ankles raw from the restraints.
I was given little food and water like how I normally get from my previous house, and I began to feel weak and dizzy due to the long and not ending distance.
But I refused to give up at this point. I knew I had to keep going, no matter what might happen. I knew I had to keep pushing and not letting anyone bring me down. I knew I had to find a way out of this nightmare my family stuck me into.
As we traveled on foot, I just saw the world around me in a different light that I have never imagined for once.
I saw the beauty of the dark forest , the way the sunlight filtered through the trees and black flowers, casting dappled shadows on the ground which was literally scary.
I saw the birds singing in the branches, their sweet melodies filling the air around and giving me hope.
And I saw the other wolves, the ones who were traveling with us also. They were rough and hardened as myself, their eyes gleaming with a feral light and fear.
They seemed to enjoy my misery more than theirs, and I knew I had to be careful around them to keep myself safe from troubles.
After what felt like an eternity or ages, we arrived at the Dark Shadow pack's headquarters at last m
It was a foreboding place to stay, a towering fortress built into the side of a mountain.
I felt a shiver run down my spine as we approached the entrance of the pack area.
We were greeted by a group of guards, their eyes cold and unforgiving at all which made the fear within me more high.
They looked me up and down, their gazes lingering on my chains which my heart race with there crazy look unto me.
"Ah, the new breeding wolf," one of them sneered as I walked in.
"Welcome to your new home beautiful." He smiled while I just felt uncomfortable around
I felt a surge of defiance within, but I knew better than to speak out to them. I was at their mercy now so I just had to play along.
As we entered the fortress still on chains, I saw Dante waiting for us on his high chair.
He was even more imposing than I remembered the last I saw him, his eyes gleaming with power and control as usual.
"Ah, Lyra," he said, his voice low and husky like the previous time.
"I see you're still in one piece. Good." I just ignored looking away with a care free appearance.
He walked towards me calmly, his movements fluid and graceful.
I felt a shiver run down my spine as he reached out and touched my face in a much uncomfortable way for me.
"You're going to make a fine addition to our pack now," he said, his eyes gleaming with excitement while mine with hate and malice.
"I can see it already within you."
I felt a surge of revulsion, but I knew better than to show it out to them.
I was trapped now, trapped in this nightmare with no escape and no turning back.
But I refused to give up at this point when I have unfulfilled dreams.
I knew I had to find a way out, no matter what and how hard it may be .
I just had to escape.
As I was led away to my new quarters in the new pack, I caught a glimpse of a figure watching from the shadows as if it was hiding.
It was Kieran, Dante's alpha. He looked at me with a curious expression, and I felt a glimmer of hope within but still with fear at it high point.
Maybe, just maybe, I had found an ally in this place that can help with my plans.
But as I was thrown into my cell quarters, I knew I had to be careful around with whom I see. I couldn't trust anyone here.
I was alone now with no one, just alone in this nightmare of pain. And I had to find a way out of it.
*****
As I lay in the darkness of the cell, I couldn't shake off the feeling of being trapped and finally destroyed.
The stoney walls seemed to close in on me, suffocating me and my life at same time.
I knew I had to think so fast, had to come up with a plan to make my life easy in here.
But my mind was a jumble of emotions, pain, fear and despair warring with determination and defiance which was on a much higher side. I knew I couldn't give up, not yet and not now when I just started a new life.
I thought of Kieran, the alpha who had watched me with a curious expression much ealier today.
Could I trust him at all? I didn't know, but I had to try to trust someone atleast in this new world.
I waited until the guards brought me food to eat, then I made my move.
I caught the eye of one of the guards, a young wolf with a hesitant and mild look on his face.
"Please," I whispered, trying to sound pitiful and good.
"Can I speak to Kieran?" I asked.
The guard looked around nervously, then nodded to me as if he was scared.
"I'll see what I can do to that" he replied.
I waited for him, my heart pounding in my chest gradually.
What if Kieran refused to see me since his alpha Dante wolf? What if he was just like the others wolf?
But then, the door opened, and Kieran stood before my very own eyes.
He was even more imposing than I remembered seeing him, his eyes gleaming with a fierce light and lit.
"What do you want, Lyra?" he growled looking into my eyes .
I took a deep breath before saying anything.
"I want to escape," I said, my voice barely above a whisper to him.
Kieran raised an eyebrow towards my statement.
"Escape? You're a prisoner here. You can't escape from here, you are here for a reason and you have to fulfill that"
I shook my head to his words.
"I won't give up,not at all," I said, my voice growing stronger and powerful.
"I won't be a breeding wolf for any pack. I won't be a slave to anyone ever again."
Kieran looked at me, his expression unreadable to me. Then, to my surprise, he nodded to my words quickly.
"I can help you Lyra," he said.
"But it won't be easy for you. Are you sure you're ready for this task?"
I nodded, my heart racing with excitement already.
I was ready to do anything to set myself free. I was ready to fight for my freedom.
Lyra POVThe room felt like it was closing in on me at this time. Dante stood in front of me, his body tense as he faced the man from my nightmares. His silver eyes narrowed with fury, but I could feel the barely restrained violence simmering beneath the surface.“Unfinished business?” Dante growled, his voice low and threatening, and kind of scary at same time. “I think you’ve overstayed your welcome.”The man—those sickly yellow eyes still gleaming—tilted his head and smirked, stepping further into the room. “Oh, Alpha Dante, always so possessive. But you see, Lyra is more than just yours.” He glanced at me, and I felt my blood run cold. “Isn’t that right, Lyra?”“Don’t listen to him,” Dante snapped, stepping closer to me, shielding me from the stranger’s gaze. “Whatever you think you know about her, you’re wrong.”The man’s grin widened, an eerie satisfaction radiating from him. “Oh, I know more than you think.” He flicked his gaze to Dante, his tone turning mocking. “And tomorrow’
Lyra POVThe air around me was thick with tension building up, the kind that suffocates, that makes it hard to breathe through. It had been a day since that disturbing encounter with the man from my nightmare, but there was no time to dwell on that now. The mating ceremony was tomorrow, and I had no idea what Dante had planned towards us all. But whatever it was, it had everyone on edge—including Crystal, his second hand and best friend as claimed. The door slammed open, and there she was Crystal, with her perfect golden hair and icy blue eyes, storming in like she owned the entire place. Her gaze burned into me, filled with barely concealed hatred.“What the hell are you still doing here?” she spat, her voice cutting through the silence like a whip.I tensed, already exhausted from all the drama, but Crystal was relentless about it all. “I’m not in the mood for all of this, Crystal,” I muttered, trying to turn away from her and stay away from her usual trouble.“Oh, I’m sure you
Lyra POV“Maybe I should ask for cooking lessons from the chef,” I muttered, but before I could finish my thought, the cell door swung open with a force that sent a cold gust through the room at almost same time.Alpha Dante stepped into the space, his presence suffocating the already tense air. His tall frame, cloaked in black, was unmistakable and was very visible. The man who had bought me no, claimed me towered before us, his silver eyes piercing through the dim light like twin blades. My wolf shuddered under his dominance, but I could feel her simmering beneath the surface, waiting for the moment to lash out."Enough," Dante growled, his voice cold and final, sending warnings at almost same period. My father, Alpha Damian stiffened, his mouth set in a hard line as he faced the imposing figure. My step mother looked like she’d just bitten into something sour, and Ryder as well, for once, Ryder wasn’t smirking.I swallowed hard, my heart pounding in my chest as Dante’s gaze swept
Lyra POVI paced the narrow space of my cell, the dream from last night still clinging to me like a shadow I couldn’t shake off. The cold, stone walls did nothing to calm my nerves, and my wolf was restless, prowling beneath my skin, sensing something was coming forth for me, but still can't explain what it was. The guard opened the door with a loud clank, pulling me from my thoughts. “You have visitors,” he said, the same disinterested tone as before in the dream.I didn’t have to ask who it was this time. There was only one person who would bother visiting me in this cell at this time.Alpha Damian, my father who was never met to be mine. He always found a way to remind me of my failures, of the expectations I couldn’t meet up with anything the pack needed. And if he was here, that meant she was with him as always.I straightened as Alpha Damian entered, his broad frame filling the room with an authoritative presence. His dark eyes, the same as mine, scanned the cell with disda
Lyra POVI sat in the cold, damp corner of the cell, knees pulled to my chest, the walls around me closing in tighter by the hour. My body ached from the transformation, the painful reminder of my failure—rejected by my family and pack and left to rot in this godforsaken prison I was sold too. The air was thick with lot's of despair, and I had almost forgotten what it felt like to hope for anything beyond survival. The door creaked open, and a young guard stepped in. He was looking new, barely in his twenties, but there was something unsettling about the way he looked at me, his blue eyes flickering with something that made my skin crawl and inch for answers."You have a visitor, Lyra," he said, his voice too calm for someone standing before a prisoner.I tensed, my eyes narrowing with the Word's. "A visitor for myself?Who would come for me now?" I asked myself, still giving him a stinging look. The pack had disowned me already. My family had cast me aside. No one cared whether I
Lyra POV" Morning, Aria," I gave a quick stretch as soon as I woke up.My eye were fully blur, which made me to use my arms to clear it out. After a deep inhale and exhale.I turned over, to see Aria, but no one was in her sleeping spot.At first, I just felt relaxed and think otherwise, but as time passed by she was quite no way to be found.I wasn't just relaxed at all and it was eating me up.I walked up to one of the other captive's." Sorry, have you seen Aria," I asked with a smile." No," the man replied with a rude look.I asked the next, and then I asked so much people and my sadness was visible. My mood immediately changed, with sadness eating me up.When u thought I already had a Friend that I can take as a sister, then someone came up and took her away from me.I sat down there with thought, as the voice from outside caught me ." Lyra, come here," I just tried ignoring the words at first and turn away, but it quite wasn't working." You bastard, I am talking to you," i fe
