Daniel had been a nervous wreck as he hoped for the date to be a success. It didn't help that as the night drew near, anxiety increased. It was almost as if he could hear his own heartbeat and that of other people, which made absolutely no sense to him.

All he wanted was for his date with Josiana to go smoothly.

He picked up the flower when he heard the sound of footsteps approaching in his direction. When he saw her up close, everything he was holding inside crumbled. The emotion that was stirring in his heart was already touching the top.

And the moment their eyes met, he wanted nothing more than to hold her. It made holding back so hard with every expression she gave and the way she teasingly bit her lips in a nervous act.

"I know how much you love red roses, so I picked some for you," he said, handing the flowers over to her, and her eyes lit up with a smile adorning her face.

"Thank you, they are beautiful," Josiana says, taking a whiff. "And they smell nice."
