Strange occurrence

AVILA

I laid in my bed, totally restless with a blank mind.

I felt my skin crawling and became very uncomfortable as I felt a presence around me that was beyond my comprehension.

With cold sweat from my skin onto the bed, I tossed and turned in my bed.

My eyes wouldn’t open no matter how much I tried to force them open, I felt trapped.

All I saw was the pitch black darkness surrounding me and creeping in. Fear and lifelessness, Paralysis these are the things I felt in that moment until I saw a little light in the midst of the darkness.

The light was small, but it was still light. Slowly this light approached me and overwhelmed the darkness. I felt a divine presence around me.

After what seemed like an eternity of suffering, I opened my eyes.

I saw myself in a strange place, I don’t know where I am or how I got here.

The atmosphere around me looked misty, birds could be heard singing from a distance, the sun was rising. When I looked at my feet, I noticed leaves all around me, there were trees everywhere. The only thing that was on my mind was

“Why am I in the woods? I don’t recognize this place”

A river could be heard flowing in the direction I was slowly walking towards. While walking I couldn’t stop looking around, trying to understand where I was.

After a short walk, I came up to the river, it was a running river.

All that struggling in my sleep made me feel sick so I decided I’d splash water on my face.

“I’m not the only person here” I could feel a presence, someone other than me was here.

I tried to stay still as not to attract attention from any dangerous strangers.

A few minutes had passed and I no longer felt the presence.

I got off my knees attempting to find my way out of the woods after splashing water on my face.

The moment I turned in the direction of the woods, I saw a person.

I was shocked beyond measure, it seemed like this person materialised out of nowhere.

The person wasn’t moving, they just stood there, looking in my direction as I stood motionless. Their physical appearance looked very mysterious.

They had a cloak covering their whole body, a cloak radiating white light, the brightness made me unable to look at the person directly.

The person started moving, they were coming towards me, this presence didn’t seem human so I tried to run, I turned back and saw the river, swimming wasn’t my strong suite so I knew I had nowhere to go.

“Who are you?”

I received no answer and the person kept motioning towards me.

“What do you want from me!”

I screamed very loudly, my voice echoed across the woods and the singing birds flew away.

The moving figure stopped, it stopped walking towards me, rather it sat by the river bank and took off it’s cloak. It was a woman, a woman who’s beauty was divine.

She had long white hair and beautiful blue eyes, she looked like a youth but she gave me a different feeling.

“Hello, Avila. Did I scare you? That was rude of me and I apologize”

“Wh- who are you? You just called me by my name, how did you know my name? What do you want?”

I bombarded her with questions as my body shivered.

She chuckled softly.

“One question at a time, child. Come sit by me”

She pat her hand on the river bank, gesturing for me to come sit. I was scared to my bones, I didn’t want to go close to her but the woman looked like she could kill me if she wanted to, hesitantly I walked up to her and sat at a safe distance.

Her aura felt so divine, I’m sure she wasn’t human.

“We don’t have a lot of time so I’ll go directly to the point. Avila, there’s someone I want you to save for me.”

Her eyes looked sad as she spoke.

“Save someone? I don’t even know where I am, who are you?”

“I transported you here, to my world. We need your help.”

“We? Who is we?”

“I can’t tell you everything but just listen attentively to everything I say.”

She looked like she was getting upset, I decided to calm down and listen to her first.

“There’s a man, an important man who is on the path to his own destruction. He has lost his way, he has lost his purpose, we need you to call him back to order because his mission has not been concluded.”

The words she uttered sounded confusing, I wanted to speak but I didn’t want to say or do anything that would have put me in danger.

“Why me? Can’t someone else be called to save this man? I just want to go home.”

“Avila, you were chosen, you have been chosen to take this task and you cannot reject your duties. As you already know, you’re special, you’re able to sense things other people can’t, I’m guessing you’ve probably figured out that I am not not a mortal.”

“And if I say no?”

“Then your famil-“

“Give me details, what do you want me to do?!”

She wasn’t kidding, she had a look of danger in her eyes, if I decline, my family might be in danger.

She smiled and reached into her cloak. She pulled out a small side bag, it looked like a pouch.

She handed to bag to me, I was a bit hesitant but upon remembering my family, I quickly took the bag.

“You will first Journey to light moon pack, there you’ll find the man you are to redeem.”

“Light moon pack?”

“Yes, child. It is a big town within California. You have three days to get there”

I was deeply confused, this was all moving too fast.

“But- how will I know what to do?”

I stood up, with the bag strap gripped tightly in my right hand.

“I’ll guide you through it, show no fear child, everything you’ll need is in that bag”

“Who are y-“

Everything turned dark, I opened my eyes again, I looked around me, I was back in my room.

“It was just a stupid dream, I must be watching too much movies”

I got off my bed and walked towards my bathroom, there was something around my waist. When I looked down… it was the same bag.

I screamed loudly.
