Clinging To The Past

Lisa's heart raced as she stepped into the graveyard, her senses heightened by the eerie atmosphere. The air felt heavy with an unexplained restlessness, as if unseen eyes were watching her every move. The sound of her footsteps echoed through the silence, sending shivers down her spine. She couldn't shake the feeling of unease, as if the spirits of the departed were whispering secrets in her ear. When she was younger, she used to tell her mom how she saw shadows lingering around the trees that formed a canopy above. She would often get nightmares from them

And so her mother had stopped bringing her. No matter how much she cried and begged to be allowed to visit her dad's resting place, she was always left at home.
