I peek through the door again and my right fist clenches at the sight in front of me. Tessa and Peter? That also holding hands? What the fuck is happening?? I hear indistinct voices of them chatting with each other. But I can't understand a thing they say. So, I put a finger on the back of my ear and close my eyes to concentrate. All the noise in the background including the chit chat of the other students, some of whom look at me and laugh annoy the hell out of me. I need a good place to hide.
So, I slowly walk down the stairs trying my best to not catch Tessa or Peter's eyesight. Though, inside I feel like walking there and smashing their heads together. Especially Peter's. I reach a bush in front of the academy building and sit behind the plants. Hopefully, it's far away from their sight and I can hear well if I concentrate.
'Maybe you shouldn't eavesdrop on their conversation. Give Tessa some privacy.'
Do you guys want me to make a facebook group for this story? Let me know in the comments.
"Umm...how do you know?" Tessa asks the question that I want to scream out from the bushes. Yes, tell, tell…Peter chuckles. What is this guy with so much chuckling? "We are best friends. We talk a lot. Don't you think it's quite normal for him to talk about his interests in girls?"Girls? How many girls did he talk about? What are their names? Who are they?'Calm down or you might erupt like a volcano anytime soon." Sia adds. I don't give an ear to her words inside my head and try focusing back on the conversation. Things just got really interesting."Yeah, that's true. Does he really like Cinn?""I guess he does. Just the way I jump around to hang out with you, he does the same. In the beginning, he refused to go with me to interact with you all but later I was surprised to find him doing all the talking. It appeared as if he was more desperate tha
Before Tessa and Peter find me behind the bushes, stalking on them, I run like Hussain Bolt and fortunately reach the entrance of the academy. I lean on the door and pant for air, while sweat trickles down my forehead.Alright! I need to go to my dorm and check why my luck is so bad that some person calls me in the middle of my eavesdropping. I walk up to my room and hop on the bed. Ah, the warmth of the bed and the soft mattress is so much better than the pricking grass and mud and mosquitoes! Opening my phone, I check on the caller's list and find my mom's ID flashing. Oh my Moon God! I immediately dial the number back and after two rings, the soft voice of my mom soothes my ears."Aurie, my lovely child. How are you?" She asks, impatience in her voice. And just then I remember about the dream that I saw while I was practicing the Special Arts. My heart sinks."I'm fine, mom. How are you?" I as
The door clicks open and Tessa steps inside. She finds me sitting on the bed. "Oh, you're here."I purse my lips. "Yeah, I am here." I mumble, toying with my phone. The thought of what my mom told me a few minutes ago makes me wonder... What if I am right about my theory?"What's up? You look down. Did anything happen within you and the Alpha?" She sits besides me and I look at her."Not really." Is it correct to say that nothing happened? Because,as far as I can intercept, something is happening. But I don't if it's just in my mind.Tessa frowns. "I don't understand."I sigh. "It's nothing, really. What about you? Were you in the canteen?"She bites her lips and looks down. "Umm... about that. There is something I need to tell you.""Spill." I rub my face with my palms to heat it up
I close my eyes and inhale deeply to calm my mind and body as I stand at the centre of Academy auditorium. Alone. Tessa wanted to accompany me but the risk I have put her in the last time I tried is enough to understand that I better do this alone.Concentrate on your desire, Aurora. I say to myself and visualise myself on the first day of the summer when I was sitting in the garden with my sketchbook and my crayons. Life used to be carefree that time. I picture the white sheet of the notebook and pick a black crayon to start drawing on it. I start to draw an outline of the body shape that will be wearing the dress. I always prefer to make outlines first as the rest just appears to fill in itself. And just like I thought, ideas start coming to my mind and my arm moves on its own to draw lines and strokes inside the outline. It feels great just do as you want. I fill in with every shape and pattern that comes past the eyes of my mind. Wow! I ne
I will kill this guy! I snort at Tristian who smirks back at me,his eyes reflecting total mischief. A few minutes back,I told him that I learnt about my skill. But that bloody hellish of a jerk didn't appreciate me! Rather he told me not to get too excited because I need to learn to harness my skill properly! I mean, I know that! Ugh! But still, maybe appreciating me a bit for taking the risk of going back to my memory lane would have been better. But no! This person only cares about criticism. How rude!"What are you thinking, Barbie doll? We don't have all day. The next bi weekly is just a few days away. You don't want to lose, do you?" He challenges me and I snort like a bull, pushing the ground with my feet to hit the target with my imaginary horns. " Now attack me."I smirk mischievously. "With pleasure." I run towards him in an aim to break his perfectly sculpted jawline. But the air shifts and I find myself o
I stare at him for a long time, hoping he would do anything but neither does he lean in nor move out. Rather his eyes stay on me, making heat flood to my cheeks. This is not good. I mean, this is actually good. But not good for my mind right now. So, having no other way, I take the difficult step. "Ahem. Umm...I guess I am quite slow."His sky-like eyes bore into me. "I'm sure you are." I don't understand on what basis he said that. Slow about the moves or understanding my feelings for him."Eh—heh—we should try again." I say and gulp in the lump formed in my throat. How more awkward is this going to be?"Try...this?" He points towards us laying on top of each other and I blush like crazy."Uh...no,no. I mean—uh…" strange that I can't find any words right now. Sia! Help!'Tell him that he needs to move away. You're ta
"A key?" I ask, looking down at the small key resting on his palm."Yeah." He whispers. "I found it in Branson's collectibles.""Wait…he has his collectibles of dark objects?" I ask."Duh. Who do you think would otherwise tell me about magical objects if they didn't have a few in their possession.""Fine. But what does this key do? Open doors?" I raise my eyebrows, questioningly."I'm not sure about that either. But I can feel its magic. Don't think I am crazy but when I was in Branson's store house filled with these objects, I had this strange feeling that something was calling me. And I opened the drawers to find this. This appears like a normal key, but it expands so much energy. I think it's used to open some secret doors." He says in an intense stone."What secret door?""I don't know. All I do know is that I wil
I wake up in the morning feeling tired and mentally exhausted. I blame the night for that. I couldn't sleep at all and kept changing sides. The thoughts of Alex and Peter Pan storm my mind. Argh! I need to confront Alex and talk to him. He seemed normal for the time we talked about the key but I don't know what happened later that he started to act so—rude.I pull off the bed sheet from my leg and walk off to the bathroom to take a shower. After the shower, I step out and find Tessa preparing herself for the class. She looks at me and smiles. "Good morning."I yawn. "Morning."She frowns. "Hey, are you alright? You look tired.""Tell me about it. I couldn't sleep last night.""But why? Was it the weather? Or did—what I said bug you?" She fidgets with her fingers."Nah, I don't mind you being with P
