Soon, we were out of the car. Evans checked the tires from outside, looking all vexed. He kicked the car, with rage and exhaled loudly, looking upwards.

When he was done with his display of anger, he pulled out our bags.

"We shall continue on foot." He raised his bag and signalled that I took it, and I did.

I had questions. Lots of them, but I knew better than being a curious lad.

He sighed after taking one last glance at the car, as though he was leaving a family member behind.

"The map." He asked.

I spread the napkin upwards to display the prints. Evans nodded, leading the way. We took turns and went straight most of the time, till we reached a place marked green on the map.

Evans suddenly fell back, as though he was pushed by a force which we couldn't see. We were both bewildered. When he stretched his hand forward, his palm look fixed and straight, as though he had placed his palm on a wall.
