Soft rustling sound of waves filtering in through the curtained windows broke Aura's sleep. She stretched her arms and turned to her back, looking at her side— only to find the absence of indentation. Damien was gone.
She set aside soft strands of hair falling before her sight as at the same time she noticed a fresh fragrant rose with a note resting on his pillow, beside her head.

She blushed hard. Her cheeks turned rosy red and the morning sluggishness faded away as she stared at the last statement on the yellow note he left for her.
