Chapter 25

ADRIA’S POV

That night, while I was alone and Lucien had gone back to his house, I felt on top of the world. I had had such a wonderful time with him, and it felt as if I got more closer to him, which was like every woman’s dream especially if they loved the man so much.

But then, I was missing my mother, and I hoped that she was okay. Because of me, she had done a lot of things and gone through a lot, and I didn’t want her to get into trouble just because she was trying so hard for me to live a good life, and to be hale and hearty.

I exhaled, and hoped she was fine, then I laid down to rest. Hopefully, I don’t have a nightmare tonight. I closed my eyes and before I knew it, I fell asleep.

The next day, I woke up feeling good, although weak. The warmth was gradually turning into something hot in my body, but it was a slow process, not like before when it would travel inside my body really fast, and render me useless.
