EPISODE TWENTY- EIGHT- SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY

Henri POV

I heard a loud knock coming from the door. I stood up cautiously, checking through the peephole to know who it was.

I was relieved to see that it was Onyx, but I also wondered what he was doing here again. Did he need something?

“Yes?” I asked, opening the door enough for me to block the rest of the room from his sight.

“Uh…not to alarm you or anything, but I noticed some suspicious activity going on,” his voice dropped down to a conspiratorial whisper.

A frown overtook my expression. “What? What do you mean by suspicious activity?”

“Well, I’ve been seeing some rugged men hanging around the building an awful lot, yet they don’t book a room in the motel. They just come and go every day,” he explained.

“I know we have a lot of thugs in the neighborhood, but their movements don’t seem like they’re one of us,” he continued. “I feel suspicious because I can't tell if they are werewolves or not.”
