“Did you just tell me to shut up?” Logan stared at her as if he couldn’t believe that she really told him to keep his silence. Never did she see anyone looking as offended as Logan did at the moment, blowing the locks of her hair off her face, she arched a brow and said, “ I did, you have a problem with that?” “ Do I have a problem with that?” He parroted looking at her as if trying to see whether or not she was being real. With his hands on his waist, he laughed out in surprise and anger before his smile dropped and his expression turned serious, striding towards her, he came to a stop mere inches away from her. “ Now look here,” he clutched the front of her jacket and pulled her close to his face almost lifting her feet off the floor. “ There are some things that you need to learn and that’s —— one) you don’t tell me what to do, two) you stay the fuck away from me, and three) you do what I tell you to do…not the other way around, am I clear?” Levy smiled at him before leaning in
Logan looked at Jesse for two seconds before tipping his head at the pile of his clothes and said, “ Wear your clothes first, we will talk later.” Jesse nodded before picking up his clothes and started dressing up, as shifters they were used to stripping and dressing in front of each other, so there was no awkwardness between the two of them. Once he was done dressing up, Jesse walked to Logan and took a seat opposite him before taking out a stack of documents from his pockets and setting them on the table. “ I just took a look at Gabriel’s movement, as you said ..turns out that he was indeed in contact with some mages years ago, why that’s hard to track down at the moment since a lot of time has passed. These days he stays at his apartment that Levy’s uncle gave him and I am yet to see him meeting any other mages at the current moment.” Jesse paused as he raised his head from the documents and looked at Logan. “ But why the sudden interest in Levy’s cousin? You have never cared abou
“ Hmm, let's see what’s wrong with you,” Levy leaned forward and grasped Lily’s wrist before muttering, “ Elenchos.” A green ball of light shimmered in the air before shooting right through Lily’s chest and lighting up her body checking every vital organ along with the curse that has been inflicted on her. Because Levy was so focused, she couldn’t hear Logan walking in the room and creeping right behind her back, it wasn’t until he came to a stop behind her, looked at her holding Lily’s wrist and out of nowhere spoke, “ Are you pretending to be a doctor?” Startled by his voice, Levy jumped up on her chair before turning to look at him, her arm draped on the back of her chair. “ Are you trying to give me a heart attack? What is the meaning of this?” He raised a brow and took a step back before walking around the bed and halting at the other side before pulling a chair with his feet. “ Well, this is my first time seeing a shifter getting startled. As far as I know, every shifter’s s
“ What do you mean by that she is not cursed?” Her words caused Logan to not only sit up straight but also jump off the chair that he was sitting in. “ If she is not cursed then why isn’t she unconscious like that for years, Levy Taylor even if you want to wash off your name, you shouldn’t make a gamble with someone’s life, I didn’t expect that you will be someone this ruthless, I really underestimated you.” “ Maybe if you even learned how to listen to others then it would have been much better,” sneered Levy as she stared at him, did he really have the right to look at her as if she was the scummiest of all? If anything he was much worse than her. Betraying his mate, choosing another female and then finally sending her to prison even without any proper evidence, even though she was to kill the entire world, Logan didn’t have the right to look down on her! “ I said that she isn’t cursed but I never said that there was nothing wrong with her. If only you stayed put and kept your mouth
‘What do you mean by we?’ Levy was indeed amused by what Logan said, she was sent to prison and had to live a life that could be considered worse than hell and yet he very casually said those words, why will she care about the girl lying on the bed? It was because of her sister that she had to go through so much and yet he wanted her to toil herself for Lily? Was he in the right state of his mind or did he think she was too much of a holy maiden? No matter how much criticism she had, Levy kept them to herself before she further continued, “ When a person’s soul is disturbed there are two options one, either the soul gets shaken up pretty badly and that person dies anyway but seeing that she is just frozen in time then it means that two parts of her soul have escaped her body leaving the only stable part behind, that is the only reason she is still alive and not dead..” she kicked herself back on the chair and said, “ if you want to find the pieces of her soul look for things that are
Levy woke up with a jolt, she was still breathing heavily but when she saw that she was no longer in the stadium and no one was aiming a knife at her, her thumping heart finally eased down a little. She gasped for breath and pushed herself up, sitting up straight in the bed, her hand reaching out to her blind eye, the dream was simply too realistic, she almost thought that she was going to be stabbed again—— it was the first time that she has closed her eyes with a peace of mind before this she always used to sleep with one eye open, such that her mind got into the habit of staying active even when she was sleeping, back in the prison she hardly caught a wink of sleep without being jostled awake by the warden or the prisoners in the next cells. Shouts and screams have always echoed in the silent prison once in while since the human wardens had the habit of stabbing hot poker into the skin of the prisoners, she too was woken up by the warden many times—— waking up to being stabbed by
When she stepped out of the bathroom Levy smelled the scent of a delicious cheesy delight, slightly surprised and hooked, she walked to the living room where Logan was sitting with a mega-size pizza on the kitchen counter, asking him for a bite was a bit humiliating but then the cheesy smell with meatballs wafted over to her nostrils and her stomach rumbled in frustration. These past seven years she has been living on nothing but stale bread and if luck favoured her she would once in a while get a piece of meat in the stew or something when she won the death marathon, it would be a surprise if her stomach didn’t protest against her when she was looking at such a big, hot and cheesy pizza. Levy gulped as she watched Logan pick up a slice of pizza and chomp half of it down, she knew that going there and asking for one slice would bring her nothing but humiliating taunts but she was hungry and her stomach was hooked. In the end, even if she wanted to stick to her pride and not give that
Levy ran to her old hideout, it couldn’t be called a hideout since many wolves from her pack knew about this place but even to this date, it seemed that no one ever bothered to come here. A small shack sitting at the very end of the pack’s territory, she still remembered how the pack members used to hate her and her mother even when they weren’t blamed for anything—— that was why her mother built this shack outside the main territory hoping that she will get some peace of mind from those who wanted to make things difficult for them. It was annoying to say that despite their attempts to stay away from the pack’s members, they were still seen as a danger and were often ostracised—— one time she returned home sporting a bruise that she received from Moira and her mother decided that they had enough of the pack’s nonsense, so she brought Levy here where no one came, used her magic and built this small shack that only occupied a small space on the territory. As she walked closer to the s
