Chapter Thirteen

Selena POV

The piercing sound of the alarm jolted me out of my dreamland. I let out a groan, reluctantly opening my eyes. I looked at the time on my phone, it was 7 am already.

In an instant, I jumped out of the bed. I have an interview scheduled for 9 am and I cannot afford to be late. I applied for the job online a few days back, it was the post of an office assistant.

I took off my nightwear and wrapped a towel around me before entering the bathroom to freshen up. In a short while, I was done, and I got out of the bathroom feeling refreshed.

I ruffle through my wardrobe, trying to figure out what to wear. I didn't have much corporate dress in my wardrobe; most were casual dresses.

I spotted a plain black pant trouser tucked away at the far end of the wardrobe, I paired it with a light blue button-down shirt.

"This will do", I muttered to myself

I tied my hair into a neat low ponytail and applied a touch of makeup. I looked at myself in the mirror, satisfied with my appearance.
