Am I the only one that thinks reading a novel is like watching a movie but in your head? I love how writers describe things and make them so realistic. I sat on the couch with my my back resting again on the backrest of it, my knees made a right angle, feet flat on the floor, and legs uncrossed. I held the book with my right hand and the left is a black coffee I asked Margarita; the maid to make for me earlier, coffee goes with everything, books especially. The book wasn’t too close to my face neither it was too far, just leveled to avoid any headache. I always have headache when I zoom my eyes in full concentration. As I flipped to the next page, I took a sip of coffee and continued reading, almost reaching the end of the page, I heard footsteps coming from the hallway, I gaze at the door and then back to the book. My expression changed after I read a paragraph. The number one thing I love about mystery novels is that they always come with unexpected twists. I was about to flip to th
My eyes started to slowly open, still slightly hazy, once my eyes cleared, they started adjusting, I blinked twice before I widen my eyes open. My brows snap into a furrow when I set my gaze around my environment. "What happened? Where am I? How in the hell did I get here?" My thoughts crushed my brain as I scanned the environment. I couldn’t recognize a bit of this place. I gaze around the place, I saw the window was barricaded with metal, it looked like the room was made windowless, I gulped at my thought it encouraged a bundle of nerves to just kick in my stomach and devour my inside. The whole room was filled with darkness and I disliked it, it was horribly terrifying. The damp smell of the room was unbearable; it reeked of fresh blood which made my body suspense in apprehension."Hello! Is anyone here? Jason." I called out. My voice echoed around the room, it made it clear that I was all alone."Jason! Anyone help!" I screamed, my voice echoing around as I continued to call out,
JASON POV As I stepped into the house, I met Jessica seated on the couch."Hey Jason, is Roger back with you?" She asked "Yeah he should be, he’s probably on his way, he left some minutes after I did." "Okay." She muttered turning back to continue what she was reading.I still wonder why Ivy and Jessica spend their time reading a novel, what’s wrong with them, I can’t spend hours or even minutes staring at a book made with a bunch of papers, I would rather just hear the audio form of the book or just take a nap, at least naps are worth it.As I walked toward the elevator, I stopped and turned back to Jessica."Hey Jess, Is Ivy in her room?" I asked, not wanting to go all the up to the third floor and then later out find she was on the second floor in the library. "Yeah but wait a minute." "What’s wrong, is Ivy okay?" I instantly asked "Oh my god, you are so desperate Jason, I thought you wouldn’t be able to forget about ‘her’ when Ivy comes into your life but now I can see, you_"
My heavy eyes started to peel open as I heard Jason’s mesmerizing thick voice echoing in distance. It made a smile form on my face as my stomach was filled with butterflies, he had finally come.My heart raced exquisitely as my ear caught his voice again; his voice was like a melodic tone to my ears, if there is anything I want right now is to be home with Jason. My eyes started to slowly open, still slightly hazy; once my eyes cleared, they began adjusting to the brightness of the room. The first thing my eyes set on is a pair of eyes; blue ocean eyes."Oh finally, mother Teresa is awake." He says. I was confused for a moment before I realized what exactly happened to me. I looked at the man, he isn’t someone I recognize. My eyes scanned the whole environment as I moved back trying to disappear into the chair I was seated on. "Mother Teresa, you need to relax, okay." He said as he got up from sitting on the wooden coffee table and moved towards me. I tried to keep moving back but eve
JASON POV I’m worried sick of Ivy, it feels like ages now and I still haven’t found Ivy. I just hope she’s okay, what if she’s hurt? She’s probably so scared and she with no doubt gets sick because of the rain. I hope she’s safe, what if she was kidnapped, or what if she got tired of me and decided to run away? I think I’m overthinking things, Ivy can’t run, she can’t leave me, she may not admit it but I know she likes me, and leaving me is highly impossible, Ivy would never do that. Or maybe she found out, maybe she knows the truth and she decided to leave, no, no, she can’t do that. She was probably kidnapped but by who? Tyler. He has been wanting to get to Ivy, that’s what he wants, it’s definitely him but how? How would he have kidnapped her, he’s still in the city, or maybe he's not, he might have left the city after we did, maybe that’s what he wants me to believe, whatever it is, or whoever he is, I will find him and I won’t hesitate to bring him down, if there is one thing my
IVY POV I woke up dazed, trying to absorb my situation without opening my eyes, I slowly start to make a low hum sound, quickly identifying as an air-conditioned or fan running. Taking a deep breath, I slowly peeled my eyes open. I sat up stretching my legs, and it collided with an object that seemed vaguely like a box, or that's what I assumed. The room was bleak, cold, and completely dark. It was quiet and somber in there and I felt a chill as the darkness engulfed me. The pitch-black atmosphere was impenetrable as I tried to stretch my eyes as wide as possible but I could barely make out a feeble outline of some distant object. There was nothing warm about that place. It’s like every time I faint, I end up in a different place. I don’t know if I should be glad about this or more terrified. I attempted to stand on my feet only to realize that it was restrained with pieces of bulky metal. I watched my ankle for a moment and realized I was chained and trapped; completely trapped. I w
JASON POV The sky was tar-black and the large clouds were moving around. My ears were filled with the sound of rain tapping on the window and then it became a pitter-patter but not anymore, It had just stopped raining and the moon is shining through the trees, I stood in front of the glass wall staring at the trees as the wind blew the trees around in no particular smooth motion, they shook by the wind. I should be in my wolf form right now running around looking for Ivy but Alex talked me into calming down, he actually made me crawl back home, I wanted to stay back and look for Ivy but I guess he was right when he said, it’s a waste of time to run around searching for her without a plan. She could be anywhere at this moment, probably sick of the rain already, she could be thinking about me, waiting for me to come to save her.I just hope she’s fine.I had to calm myself down, if I want to get her back, I need to think smart, I need to act wise. I still believe that Tyler is behind th
IVY POVThe second the door opened, two men walked into the room; they wore blue jeans that have mud stains on them, a blue striped line shirt, and white suspenders. Do people still wear suspenders? As they walked toward me my eyes widen, what the hell do they want? They look extremely frightened, one of them has a scar on his cheekbone which made him look like an assassin."Move back assholes," I yelled moving away from them. "I said move back," I yelled again wriggling to the edge of the room, my feet’s hung, and I wasn’t able to move because of the chains."Don’t come near me asshole, you better shift, just go back" I exclaimed looking between them, the other man walked around the other side while the other stood in front of me; he didn’t walk closer to me. "Let her be, we will take care of her." A voice chipped into the roomI turned to look at the person, it was Toad and that other guy who brought a sandwich earlier. Looking at them made me wonder how many goons are here. I’ve se
