Chapter 8

Jason POV

I have been out of town for a couple of weeks, leaving my Alpha’s duty behind wasn’t exactly what I always do but I had no choice. I know my brother and I aren’t actually close but I didn’t expect his marriage news to hit the day before the marriage will take place. Tyler is my junior brother I don’t get along with him because we always argue on several topics, I don’t hang out with him or even have a deep conversation with him but I know marriage isn’t what he wants at this moment, probably he’s just doing this to get the company all to himself as I know that is his dream for a long time.

Tyler and I were best friends when we were kids but eventually grew apart and become sworn enemies when we reached a certain teenage age. When we were young I was in charge of the pack while Tyler on the hand had nothing to do because he isn’t a wolf like me, I guess it was from that moment we grew apart.

"Good morning mom," I asked almost immediately as I walked toward her

"Good morning." She said as she hugged me.

Mom isn’t a wolf she is human just like Tyler, she plays no favorites, to her we are all equal wolf or not, we are her children.

I glanced at dad who was sitting on the dining chair across the room. I walked over to him "Good morning." I said

"Good morning." He said in a deep pitch. "Go get dressed afterward you should meet your brother before the wedding starts."

I nodded in agreement before I walked away. Dad is a very straightforward person, he wastes no time on any discussion, if he has something to say, he says it instantly without any rethink or uncertainty.

Once I entered my room, I saw a lavish three-piece Italian classic suit lying on my bed. "Not surprised" I muttered before I walked closer to the bed "Not a bad choice actually."

After I wore the outfit, I roughly combed my hair before I exited the room.

Once I entered Tyler’s room, I saw him all dressed up, he wore a white GM suit and a black oxford. His outfit wasn’t much different from his usual outfit as he is always wearing a suit.

"Tyler" I announced as I walked in his direction

"Jason, I had no idea you were coming back." He said in a bewildering tone

as he glanced at me and turned back and continued what he was doing.

"How are you?" I asked

It is very awkward for me, Tyler and I hardly have conversations, and when we do it always ends up with yelling and an argument

"I’m fine, how about you." He responded in the same tone as me

"I’m fine…So how is life?"

This is very awkward, Tyler is my brother I should be comfortable with him.

"Will you please stop that, at least not today?" He said as he glanced at me before turning back to the mirror.

"Yeah you are right, we shouldn’t be doing this." I let out a breath of relief "So, I hear you’re getting married." I asked while taking a sit

"Yes bro, I’m sorry you didn’t hear that news from me"

Bro, wow looks like Tyler is in a good mood, the last time he called me bro was forever.

"Yeah, I was surprised when I heard the news."

"Who told you about it?" He turned back and looked at me

"Mom did, but I’m kinda surprised, Tyler Banasiewicz the head of Banasiewicz industries is getting married and only a few know about that," I said

"Dad wants the wedding to be a close one, no reporters, no journalists, and definitely no paparazzi. How’s my look?" He said as he turned back and look at me while adjusting his bow tie

"Same as always." I said as I stood up and helped him with the tie "I don’t get why you wanna have a close wedding, I know you love it when your face is on the cover of every magazine and news headline."

I can’t believe Tyler let me touch his outfit, the most unbelievable part of this is that I’m helping him without any dilemmas from him or even me.

"As I said, bro, dad is behind this and besides, this wedding of a thing isn’t exactly what I want but anything that can get me on the CEO chair is a go," Tyler said

I just knew it, marriage isn’t what Tyler wants, he’s basically doing it so he can get what he always wanted.

To be honest, I’m kinda surprised with the way we are having a conversation with yelling or arguing.

"But I kinda like her, she is simple, unique and she belongs to the ranch so I think when she finds out about our family’s secret, she can handle it well." He said

"Yeah about that, who is the lucky girl?" I asked as I sat on the couch and took a sip of coffee

"I think you know her, she lives with her mom on the ranch before she moved to the city. Her name is Ivy Miller."

"Ivy Miller?" I asked

He turned back and looked at me "Yeah, she’s a really nice person I’m sure you will like her."

"Ivy Miller," I whispered

"Do you know her?" He asked

"No I don’t, never heard of her name before."

"You know, this is kinda weird, I can’t believe I’m actually having a peaceful conversation with you."

"Peaceful you say." I chuckled "But I’m kinda shocked too." I smirked before I stood up and walked towards the door "I gotta go now."

"Okay, see you later." He winked

He is definitely in a good mood, Tyler has never winked at me talk less of having a smile on his face when I’m around.
