Chapter Eight Four: Most Logical Conclusion

There were a lot of questions going on in his head and Lucas hadn't quite decided on any of them.

He knew Rae wasn’t a spontaneous person but she was showing him a new side of her that he hadn’t seen before and he knew that there might be something he wasn’t seeing yet.

The most logical conclusion or explanation that he could come up with was that she was doing this to spite him because of everything that had happened between them within the past couple of weeks while they were at the fishing village.

If this was her plan, she was executing it properly. She knew how he felt about her and she wanted to hurt him in the way in which he hurt her.

The only problem was that she was being short-sighted about this whole situation. She wasn’t planning on getting married to his son, Gunner, out of love or because she felt devoted to him, she was only doing it to spite him and Lucas wasn’t going to have any of that.

She was going to render three of them useless and put them in misery fo
