My question was left unanswered as the moment I finished speaking, Jason just casually walked past me, making me look at him with a frown, and instead of leaning like I thought he intended to, just turned the lock of the door.

I wasn’t expecting that at all..

“What’s going on? Why did you lock the door?” I asked as he just stood with his back to me, and his hands still on the door.

Okay…now he was making me worried.

I had been in a meeting with some of the junior staff in the lowers floor when I had first started to notice the whispers going on on that floor. At first, I had thought it was just normal office gossip or they had seen something on the internet. But once I they had started staring at me, I had gotten suspicious as fuck that whatever it was that was going on, had something to do with me.
