Ch9: I miss my mommy

Natalie spent a long time with Carter, feeling a strong connection with the young boy. To distract themselves from everything going on, they played a game on Carter's phone.

As they played, Carter looked up at Natalie with a curious expression. "Big Sister, what is your name?" he asked.

He was wondering who that big sister that was so sweet to the point that his dad would hug her was.

Natalie smiled, "I am sorry, I did not introduce myself earlier. My name is Natalie, but you can call me Natie."

Carter nodded, "You have a pretty name, big sister..." he said, looking up at her with admiration.

Natalie chuckled at the young boy's innocent compliment. "Thank you, Carter. Your name is also very nice!"

The joy that the boy had was written all over his face. "Big Sister, would you stay here with us forever?" He asked eagerly, his eyes filled with longing.

Natalie was taken aback by the question, thinking it was a joke. "Would you really want me to stay here forever?" she asked.
