Chapter 14 - Nervous

Nisha's POV

This can't be real; why is he here? I looked at my grandmother, who was pretending to be interested in the design on the wall. I really need to talk to her once this problem is resolved.

"Oh, who is this lovely young lady in front of me?" Mr.Dadds questioned seductively as he caught me staring at him.

I was a little frightened, and my cheeks paled when I thought this person may identify me as Nyx, but I'm confident he won't remember me because I was wearing my mask when we last met. I simply want to make sure he doesn't recognize me.

I didn't respond to his question; instead, I avoided his stare and diverted my focus to Dum, who was making an irritating grimace at Mr.Dadds.

" Sir, we need to go right now for you to rest; that was the doctor's orders and condition when they granted your discharge," I said to Dum, but it was a lie; the doctor never mentioned having Dum rest as a condition for him to be released from the hospital.
