Chapter 35 - Victim

NISHA'S POV

"Wait, did I hear you properly, you're a victim? And how did that happen?" Shmue said, shocked, when he was the first to recover from his astonishment.

"It's a lengthy story to tell, and I don't recall much of it since I suffered from amnesia for the previous 17 years and only remembered fragments of what occurred and who I was," the woman answered to Shmue's question.

So she was a victim with no recall of the previous 17 years? That is hard for me to believe. I examine the woman in the mask intently to see whether she is speaking the truth.

"Nope, I'm not going to trust you, I have a feeling you're lying and hiding something!" Lionel responded, not believing what he heard from the woman.

Lionel, you are not alone. I'm also skeptical of what she's saying, and I suspect she's keeping something from us. If I could simply ask her more questions without being suspicious of Dum, Shmue, and Lionel, I would.
