Green and Cherry

Green and Cherry were alike at some points, both like sweet foods and don't  like loneliness. It's funny, Green lived alone and Cherry lived with her brother, Langit who frequently left her. The two were friend with loneliness, and no doubt felt lonely. Green's loneliness slowly faded because of Alta's presence, and so did Cherry, her day became more colorful since her dating with Zein. Neither Green nor Cherry didn't have a lot of friends but they knew a lot of people, not because of pride or anything similar, it was because they both had the principle of getting to know anyone but not all of them can be friends.

The two women were now in the college park reading the novel for their assignment, Green looked down at the Cherry's perfect eyes that looks gloomy, and she had not talk much since before. Green wasn't curious at first, but she saw Cherry's eyes like they were holding back the tears.

"Cher..." Green touched the back of her hand.

Cherry who was naturally cheerful and expressive was more obvious when she had a problem. Cherry couldn't take any more grief, she soon hugged Green and let all the pain flew.

 "Green..."

Green stroked Cherry's shoulder gently, "let everything out, don't hold back."

After Green said that, all the tightness in her chest and the pain she's been trying to cover up since morning just popped up. Cherry sobbed behind Green's embrace, without asking any further questions Green gave up her shirt wet with Cherry's tears.

For several minutes, Cherry was still crying, no matter how hurt the woman was causing her to look so fragile. "Drink first." Green handed Cherry a bottle of mineral water so she could cool down a little bit, then put a tissue in front of her.

Cherry took a bottle and a tissue, drank it a little and then wiped the remnants of the water hanging from her eyelids. "Thanks, Green."

Green nodded with a slight smile and then said something, "if anything hurts you so much, it's okay to cry. Everyone has their own problem, and everyone has the same right to shed tears over their problem."

A smile inscribed on Cherry lips after hearing Green's advice, she confirmed what Green had said was true. Green was different from people she had ever met, before this Cherry always met people that when she cried they will say unnecessary words of motivation or even forbid her outright to do so, thinking that crying was someone's weak sign. It Looked like she wasn't wrong to claim Green as her friend from now on.

"Green, let's stay at my house tonight," invited Cherry on impulse.

Quickly, Green's shook her head. "It's impossible Cher, I gotta work."

"What time do you get off?" said Cherry who was still trying to get Green to stay at her house.

This was one of the reasons Cheerry admired Green, besides being modest and forthright, she was also independent, Green worked to earn money for her life and she was never ashamed of doing anything while it was clean and it didn't hurt anyone.

 "Ten o 'clock."

"It's okay, Green, you'll come back to my house. Please Green, you should be agree." Cherry begged her to let the woman agree with it.

Honestly, Green was reluctant to stay at Cherry's, because that way he'd see Langit, she was still mad at the guy for last week. Langit touched her when she tried to keep away from any other man. But even if she refused, Cherry will be disappointed, especially she had just seen Cherry cried in silence, what if her refusal made her sadness came back? she didn't want to make anyone sad because of her. Then finally, Green approved Cherry's offering.

"Okay, I'll come back to your house whe my work done"

"Yeayyyyyy, thank you Green, I'm so glad you decide to stay at my house tonight." Cherry hugged Green tight.

"I'm not alone at last," continued Cherry with a cheerful voice.

Instantly a Cherry smile disappeared when she saw two humans who were none other than Violet and Zein walking hand in hand while  laughing in dollars.

"Cher... " called Green, she knew that Violet was the woman who was always with Cherry and Zein was Cherry's boyfriend.

"Let's come to class, the class is about to start, right?" Cherry pulled Green's hand away from the place, her eyes and heart hadn't exactly been oke to see Violet and Zein together.

Green only followed her, she understood without any explanation how Cherry felt right now even though she didn't know in detail what was going on between the three of them.

"Zein, I feel bad for Cherry," Violet said with a guilty face. Deep down she realized that what she was doing right now was wrong, but her heart couldn't be fooled either. She's been interested in Zein since Cherry introduced him for the first time.

"Just calm down Vi, I'm sick of that toxic woman, rich bitch anyway."

Unlike the particularly bad, guilt-ridden Violet, Zein did not feel the same. What he felt right now was  the relief of breaking with Cherry.

Zein... ," Violet whined as she put her arm around him.

"Vi, I've been interested in you for a long time, from when we watched threesome. This time I've taken a stand, took right decision. I've been with her the whole time, forbidden to do this and that, should tell her wherever I go. I'm tired of being reasonable, and with you I feel like myself because you've never demanded much from me." Actually, Violet knew that already, for long before today both had developed a connection behind Cherry and Zein used to complain that he sick of Cherry's behavior.

"But Cherry is still my close friend, and I'm the one who is wrong and bad."

"No, you're not an evil. You can see that Cherry has made a new friend, so you don't have to feel guilty or even feel bad," said Zein, who comforted his girlfriend who was feeling guilty.

Violet placed her head on Zein's shoulder, while the man stroked her head gently. "You're different, Vi, you're independent while cherry is spoiled. I was fed up every time she asked to be picked up, I sat on her every time she whined to help her doing this or that. And you know what I'm feeling right now?"

Violet looked up, staring at Zein stroking her head full of questions, "what?"

"I'm so happy that you and I can finally be us and I'm free from a girl named Cherry Alexandra."

Violet looked at zein with a gaze for an answer. "Zein, you wouldn't leave me, would you?"

"I promise I won't leave you, Vi. You're the only one I want."

Zein grabbed Violet's fingers with a warm smile and then kissed them for a long time before, then they looked at each other and both them smiled.

Without they knowing there was heart that broken and pain, Cherry who said goodbye to Green to buy something in the cafeteria accidentally overheard Zein and Violet chit chat. There was an invisible dagger that pierced the recal of her, Cherry who had already feeling better felt like all the wounds came up because she heard  Zein's confession and the man's view of her. During they were dating, Cherry always tried to give her best, being the obedient woman he wanted to be. But what Zein said to Violet was exactly the opposite, Cherry came out of hiding after wiping away the tears that rolled down.

"It's really nice of you to be playing over you victims. What did you just say? Toxic? You're supposed to be messing, and who's toxic, you or me? You're possessive, bossy, tempramental. And, you're both really metching and suit each other, equally traitorous!" Cherry said it was full of emphasis, her anger could no longer resist looking at the behavior of the two humans she trusted so.

Zein stood up and then looked down at Cherry with a condescending look. "Girl likes you isn't right for me!"

Cherry was about to slap Zein's cheek but was restrained by hearing Violet's voice. "Cher, I'm sorry. All are my fault, I was not honest from the beginning, Zein and Ibactually have been in a relationship behind you for a long time, don't blame him, It's my fault," said Violet filled with tears.

Cherry's eyes turned to Violet, a best friend she had introduced to Zein, the man she loved. Cherry never had a negative thought on the two people in front of her, the two that now made her very disappointed. Moreover Violet, Cherry wasn't sure she could forgive her after the pain she'd been through. "I won't forgive you, Violet, and from now on you are no longer my friend!" Cherry said it with a sharp tone and full of emphasis.

Violet didn't reply Cherry's talk,. she just looked down and couldn't say anything.

"Now Violet has had me, she doesn't need you to be her close friend anymore. I love her, and you? You're nothing compare with her, you're just a spoiled little bitch who asks everything for help, while Violet? She's independent."

Cherry felt a tickling in her chest as a result of Zein's comparing her with Violet. Her hands were clenched, looking at the two people in anger. Without realizing the situation, Green was approaching, she chose to observe three people interaction, not because she didn't want to help Cherry, it's because she tried to give them some time as adults to solve their problem. Green could see from a good distance how Zein insult Cherry and took the woman out, with Green's bold move approaching. Green stood in front of Zein, she looked at him intently. "If you break up, then just break up! No need to insult your ex, right? What's that rubbish mouth you have?!"

Cherry didn't know Green would be so brave like that, after saying that, she pulled out Cherry's hand to get away from the two treacherous humans, ignoring Zein, the one that was shouting at her. Before perfectly going, Green staring at Violet, she looked at that woman with that intimidating gaze. "and you? listen to this, you're happy by stoling someone else's happiness, you're a traitor! Everything will not last long, sooner or later you will also be dumped by this bastard!" Green said, emphasizing the word bastard, staring at Zein's face, looking at the man in disgust.

"Damn girl! I don't fucking know you! You have no right to call me bastard!" Zein said with anger because of what Green said about him.

"I don't even need to close to you to know that you're an asshole!" said Green fiery, she never be able to see her closest one to be hurted. Green will defend her, especially in this case Zein was worthy of burial. "Come on, Cher, let this two trash gathered! Your tears are too valuable to cry over such people." Green pulled Cherry, really far away.
