As soon as Alizeh felt a caress on her cheek, she woke up with a startle. Her chest heaving up and down. She was a heavy sleeper. There could be bomb blasts happening around her but she wouldn't wake up but since the day he had entered her life, she has never fully slept, without a worry.

There were nights, dark nights, when he'd sleep next to her but her eyes would remain open staring at him with fear. Even when he was asleep. Her brain did not allow her to keep her guard down when he was around. While he breathed peacefully next to her, just a slight movement by him arose a sense of deep panic in her.

She was terrified. Traumatized.

Her eyes moved around and saw the source of her trauma standing above her. His eyes connecting with her as he retrieved his hand back from her cheek. He was wearing a light blue T-shirt.
