Chapter 19.

Dante's POV

My eyes communicated more than a million words could ever, the shock I felt on seeing her. I was so surprised that I almost fell off my own feet as she leaned against the wall like a drunk having a hangover.

My racing heart falling to the floor and then flying to my mouth as my anxiety heightened and I almost fell faint right then and there. I didn't know why I was so worried yet I knew why. As my thoughts stood running around in a maze, analyzing different possibilities of what could've happened.

I stood there motionless with my hands by my side, folded into fists, not in anger; at least not yet, but in trying to get a hold of myself enough to process the situation.

As I was here standing in the middle of an alleyway not far away from the mansion I had brought Olivia to for a meeting. And here she was leaning over out of breath and exasperated.
