[POV Fany]
-----
Despite the fact that they were brothers, their attitudes were opposite. Adrian is immature, whereas Alfred is more mature.
This must be difficult for Alfred. Melisa is the only daughter of the office's largest shareholder, according to what I've heard. If this engagement fails, Al's career as CEO may be jeopardized.
Melisa, who was sitting on the bar stool, got a glass of orange juice and a plate of fried eggs shoved in her face. "Come on, let's start with breakfast."
Melissa gave me a stern look. I don't like how she appears.
Melisa spoke up "You came to our engagement party last night to sabotage it. You've arrived to bring Alfred here."
Of course, I shook my head because I'm not a spoiled brat. I went to their event last night solely to say goodbye to Alfred.
I attempted to persuade her by providing relevant reasons. "Melisa, every morning I come here to wake Adrian and we go to campus together. The issue is not with me, but with you. Why do you have it in you to betray Alfred?"
She snorted loudly after slowly nodding. She simply stated, "I despise you. You're the main issue here. You're a disgusting, despicable, scumbag—"
I cut her off mid-sentence. "Why? What went wrong for me? Tell me, and I'll understand."
She was silent for a moment before speaking in a small, piercing voice. "Stay away from him, you ruined everything last night, you understand?"
"It's entirely up to you what you think of me, but you clearly misunderstood. Al just dropped me off at home—"
"Bitch," she grumbled.
I couldn't believe what I had just heard. This girl was incorrect, but she chose to blame someone else? She is unquestionably not a good girl. Alfred could find a better girl than Melisa.
I shifted my gaze to Alfred.
"Al," I said, causing him to lift his head and smile gently.
I placed his breakfast on the divider table in the kitchen. "Let's start with breakfast."
Alfred made a weak shake of his head. Perhaps because his heart was still hurting to see what happened until his appetite vanished.
I packed the breakfast in Tupperware for him to take later.
"Where is that useless fool?" Alfred inquired. He had to have meant Adrian.
"Alfred, please don't start a fight, I beg you!"
"Adrian, come out!" He pounded on the bathroom door until the door hanger came loose.
I hurried up to Alfred. I yanked him up, but his body was heavy and muscled. "Calm down, Al."
The bathroom door unexpectedly opened from the inside, creating a brief moment of silence.
As he spoke, Adrian's head poked out of the doorway "You're making a lot of noise and disturbing people who are taking a bath. Al, go to work, and I'll drive Fany to campus. Don't forget to get your girl out of here." He hesitantly slammed the door shut.
Alfred became enraged and slammed the door. "Andrian, please open the door!"
I drew Al back. God, these two never change and are always at odds.
Meanwhile, Melisa ate breakfast idly, unconcerned about her surroundings. What's the deal with that girl?
"Melissa, could you please take a moment?" Even with a polite word, she froze in her seat. Isn't she remorseful? All of this happened as a result of her stupidity.
I was forced to try to intervene myself. "Enough, Alfred. What if the apartment's occupants call the cops?"
Alfred's consciousness was restored by my words. He stood up straight and brushed his coat and hair back. "You've always defended him. He's now self-conscious."
"You'd better get to the office," I advised. "Take Melisa home, and don't forget to put your breakfast on the table."
Alfred nodded as he caught his breath. "You're correct. Thank you." He walked over to the bulkhead table and took Melisa with him.
I assisted Melisa in putting on her dress, which Aunt Nicole had praised as an angel's dress the night before, but was now wrinkled and rancid. I led her out when I was finished.
Melissa said, "Thank you," without looking at me.
Alfred kissed my cheek and said, "I'll call you later." He immediately assisted Melisa in descending the stairs.
I shut the apartment door. Only the younger brother remains. Please, God, give me strength.

[POV Fany] ----- I clean the apartment by myself. All of this became a part of my daily routine. I'm not sure how much longer I can hold out. "Are you prepared for college?" Adrian's style drew the collar of a white shirt, clothes that clung to the body's curves. Swooping black brows that swoop up and down. He took his favorite black leather jacket and an empty sling bag out of the apartment, the black bag he used to carry everywhere. "We need to hurry or we'll be late. I'll be in the car waiting for you." Oh my God, he's the one who caused me to be late! I went out and locked the door after finishing tidying up. "As usual, huh?" enquired a veiled girl as she locked her door. "Yep, that's my routine." She is a devout Muslim who has repeatedly resisted Adrian's advances. I've never seen her in revealing clothing because her religion forbids it. She expressed herself politely. "Stay
[POV Adrian] ----- If this car wasn't whining, it would have taken about five hours to get from UCLA to Glendale. "Can we stop by the convenience store?" Fany inquired. "I'd like to buy something." "Would you like to purchase pampers?" I had to tease, I couldn't help myself. She gave a curt response. "Put up your hands. I'd like to purchase some toiletries and fruit for Aunt Nicole." I turned around and entered the crowded parking lot of the minimarket. As a result, I got a parking spot quite far from the minimarket's entrance. Fortunately, Fany did not object; perhaps she was in too much of a hurry. I grabbed her arm before she came out. "What is it?" she inquired. "Look over there," I said, pointing to the convenience store. Many Mexican men had gathered in front of the convenience store; it was unclear what they were doing. They have tattoos and are holding liquor bottles. It's not yet
[POV Adrian] ----- I beat the bald man until he collapsed to the ground. His friends swarmed him like ants. "Enough Ad, stop it!" asked Fany. "They should apologize to you. "No one should insult you," I said, stroking Fany's soft porcelain cheek with the back of my finger. "There's no need; what matters is that you're okay." This kind of attention melts my heart every time. I spun around to face the demons. "Come on, admit you offended my girl." His pals were about to launch an assault. I kicked one of them. I stepped forward to keep Fany safe from lecherous men. They're in a panic. One of them drew a penknife from his pocket. It's not good, because I'm unarmed, and fighting might injure me. Fortunately, the sound of police car sirens stopped them. The police car came to a halt on the side of the road. In a relaxed tone, the officer in the front seat greeted us. "Is everything all right t
[POV Fany] ----- The scent of cedar wood. The living room has a squeaky floor. Wall made of drab wood. Every step into the Beneds' house brings back memories. My steps ceased. Behind the long sofa is a special spot where I blew my first kiss. Oh, those memories that make my heart skip a beat. Oh my goodness, why am I even thinking about it? There are far more important things to consider. My path takes me to the dining room. Alfred sat on the steps, limply leaning against the wall, and raised three fingers to greet me. While Aunt rose from her dining chair to greet me. "Fany. Let's take a seat first." Her skin is sagging, and his black hair is being replaced by gray hair. The rest of the beauty, however, was painted on his thin face. While kissing her cheek, I placed the plastic-filled fruit on the empty chair. "Where is Adrian?" she ask. "Perhaps he's fucking the neighbor's girl," Kimberly specu
[POV Fany] ----- "Next door neighbor came home," Kim explained. Adrian rose from his seat after a long period of silence. "Where are you going, Adrian?" Auntie inquired. "We're looking for the wind." Alfred left without saying goodbye and went to the second floor. Auntie. All because of my presence on the night of the engagement. What on earth was I thinking? "I appreciate you looking after Adrian," she said. "He must have bothered you." "It's fine." "I'm perplexed about Adrian. He's been out of control since his father left. You are free to leave him if you so desire." "What exactly do you mean, Auntie?" "Adrian may not be able to change, but he will always be your burden. Now is the time for you to depart." "No, Adrian is a good man; he just hasn't found his calling in life. I'm sure he'll be a different person when he has a goal." Aunt gave a shaky nod. "I don't want to
[POV Adrian] ----- Sitting in the car, I raised my feet. When Father is gone, the sky, moon, and stars remain the same. Okay, I was wrong; I fucked Melisa, but did they ever consider me? Mother's attitude shifted dramatically after Father's death. She's a thorn in my side. She was always by Alfred's side. Who am I to judge her? The sound of the door opening caused me to turn my head, only to see Alfred emerge from it, carrying two bottles of beer. "Would you like to drink?" he inquired. Who doesn't want a free beer? I let him in by opening the door. We drank cold beers while enjoying the warm evening. "Listen—" Alfred said. "No, you pay attention. I'm sorry for fucking Melisa. Everything is clear to me." Alfred nodded and took my cigarette. As he spoke, he lit a cigarette. "Go ahead, I heard." "For Fany, I fucked Melisa." "Fany?" He laughed uncontrollably. But, seriously, I said.
[POV Adrian] ----- Fany jumped into the car, her nose tingling like a skunk. "Are you smoking?" My head shook. "It wasn't me, but Alfred." "Do you believe I believe?" She stroked my skin. What do you want from her? She groped through the pockets of my jacket and pants. Is she aware that those long, soft hands pique my interest? "Wait a minute, Fany!" She paused for a moment, her eyes piercing. "Can you tell me where you got your pack of cigarettes?" I didn't want to admit it, but my eyes, which were fixed on the dashboard, betrayed me. He squeezed a pack of cigarettes as if it were cow's milk. He had the audacity to toss my cigarette outside. I've squandered ten dollars. "OK," she said casually. "Okay you said? What's the deal?" "So what were you two talking about?" she asked after taking a sip of cola. "Oh, who is that little meerkat?" "You guys spread my name arou
Fany At least after making him promise, he had something to hold onto. I stepped into the house, to the room on the second floor, the room I used to live in. I yawned widely pushing my hands forward. The trip to Glendale, this morning's trouble, made me shatter. A soft mattress could make me soar to heaven now. Suddenly Kim stopped me on the stairs. She stood like a superhero with his arms crossed it front of her chest. Her voice was harsh. "Where are the pillows and blankets?" "What?"i ask, confusedly "Why did you make them all disappear? Where did you put them?" "Them? Uhm, oh, the pillow and blanket? I left it for Pig outside." Kimberly's sullen face lasted a few seconds, then she chuckled. I smile. She led me into the room. She had prepared everything. Two mattresses put on the floor, she lying down pulling me to sleep. "Is there a way to get Adrian to keep his promise?" I asked, casu
