Chapter 14
"Stalking me again?" Roman's friend says, the minute he takes notice of me.
"No, I just wanted to know if he was here today." I say, glancing around for Roman, but again, there is no sign of him.
He never called me right after that night and more over, he hasn't been to school for two whole days.
I've noticed and that says a lot.
" What does it matter to you?" He asks, shutting his locker door.
" It matters because-" I bite down on my tongue, preventing myself from saying anymore.
He arches his brow in question of my silence.
"Is he okay?" I try again.
"He's fine, not that it should concern you." Someone says from behind me, coming around to stand in front of me and next to him.
Roman's girlfriend.
I know she's right, that it shouldn't concern me, but I can't ignore the worrying feeling in me about him.
