Mr Gordon clicks on the ‘send’ icon on the system and he smiles before he shut down the laptop.

“That was a nice way to start afresh with father.” he chuckles and stretches his figure lazily on the reading seat.

“That old man thinks he can make me marry again after what he had done? If not for the sake of Mia, I would have had his business go down the drain with me, but no I won't do that.” he groans and closes the notebook on the table.

He stands up from the seat and drags his feet to the mini fridge in his room.

He brings out a can of soft drinks and opens the lid.

‘Long enough that we should have had a kid in elementary school by now

He could still hear the words of Melanie to Mitchell echoes in his head.

“I’ve never seen that side of her before, so bold and fearless.” he compliments and smiled before gulping down the drinks down his throat.

He feels relaxed and he closes the fridge before walking out of his study with the can in his hand.
