CHAPTER 6

The sound of the boy's cries echoed even more and it made Fisya very restless. Regan could have heard it, he couldn't have allowed that to happen, or else the man would have thought that he had done something bad to Adnan.

"You don't cry like this, later your mother will be scolded by your father," Fisya wiped Adnan's tears gently. He was getting more and more scared, with Adnan crying like this could bring disaster to him.

"Why do you not want it? Don't you miss me?" she asked, sobbing.

“No, honey… come on, stop crying and let's talk—”

Adnan's cries echoed again, Regan, who heard the sound of crying from his son, became increasingly suspicious of Fisya. He, who was struggling with his laptop in his room, suddenly stopped and closed his laptop hard. The man immediately went to the TV room to see Adnan.

Regan, who had arrived at the TV room, saw Adnan sobbing and it made him angry, then he pushed Fisya's body until the woman fell on the floor. "Why did you make my son cry?!"

Fisya balanced her body, which almost fell due to the strong push from Regan. The woman drew closer to Regan. "I didn't hurt your son! If you don't believe me, just ask Adnan!" he said with great emphasis.

Regan gave Fisya a cynical look, then she looked at Adnan and asked, “What did your mother do to make you cry? Just say it, don't be afraid. I will teach your mother a lesson if you dare to make you cry."

"No Dad, mom didn't hurt me. Mother just refused my request," Adnan whispered in a whining voice.

“Oh… you dare refuse my son's request, huh?!” Regan started to get angry. He raised his face when he asked Fisya, then glared at the woman.

"I-I refuse his request, because..." Fisya hangs on to her words.

"Because of what?!" snapped the man, disapproving. He had tried to give her confidence, but that woman was so brave to make her son cry and he couldn't just let her go—he thought.

"Adnan wants to sleep with Mom and Dad," the little boy answered Regan's question to Fisya. Silence the man for a moment. No wonder Fisya didn't want to do what her son wanted—she thought.

"Can you hear him? Your son wants us to sleep in the same bed as him. How can I agree with that? I'm a cheap girl who can sleep with a man," he hissed in a whisper.

"Hey! You think I want to sleep with a skinny, ugly woman like you? After all, many beautiful women want me. I'm free to choose one of them," Regan replied.

"You're out of your mind. Are your eyes short? A beautiful woman like me is called ugly? Open your eyes wide, my body is ideal, not skinny”. Instead of responding to Adnan, they were both busy fighting with their respective egos. Make Adnan open his voice.

“Why are Mom and Dad even fighting like this? I just want to sleep with mom and dad, what's the big deal?”

Fisya and Regan were silent, they both got closer and matched Adnan's height. "Honey, it's not that Mom doesn't want to. Mom just-"

"Your mother will," Regan cut in with a flat face.

Fisya, who heard Regan's one-sided agreement, turned to the man. "You?!"

"Your mother is just embarrassed that she still wets the bed," Regan teased.

Fisya's hand that had been swung was about to hit Regan. She immediately dropped it. There was no way an ordinary woman like her would succeed against a Regan. Fisya knew enough, in the end she would always lose to that crazy man.

"Really, Mom?" asked Adnan curiously.

The woman glared at Regan, who was chuckling. "Yeah, think of it like that. But actually I'm just afraid that you can't sleep because your father's snoring is very loud," Fisya replied, not wanting to lose, and that made Regan glare sharply.

"You-"

"Come on kid, brush your teeth and clean your feet first, okay?"

"Yeah! Really... dad, mom? I'm going to the bathroom first, to wash my face, wash my hands and wash my feet," Adnan, whose face was gloomy at first, suddenly screamed with joy and ran towards the bathroom. One thing that made Regan warm was to see Adnan's unusual behavior since the woman's presence.

When Adnan had disappeared from the sight of both. Fisya was still struggling with the strange thoughts that popped into her brain. What if the man did something bad to her? Impossible! There was Adnan there, he certainly wouldn't dare to do anything—he thought.

"Hey!" Regan touched Fisya's shoulder unkindly, interrupting the girl's thoughts.

"What?!"

"Prepare yourself for tonight," he whispered in Fisya's ear and walked away.

The girl was tense and frightened by Regan's implied words. What should she do? Sleeping in the same bed with an arrogant man like Regan was a nightmare for her. However, there was a small child in the middle. But, Fisya still couldn't calm down. A man can do anything. Good grief!
