7. Confrontation

Krystie stepped out of the hotel, her heart racing from running, and her eyes filled with tears. Her once elegant dress now hung torn and tattered, a reflection of a rough night that she had shared with a stranger. Her mid thighs hurt, and her legs felt jelly, she didn't have any strength but the fear of facing the young guy was more than the pain she was feeling.

Memories of betrayal flooded her mind, each step echoing the pain she had in her heart as she ran across to her car.

Just as she reached her parked car, a familiar figure emerged from the shadows. It was Alex, her ex-boyfriend, the one who had shattered her heart into a million irreparable pieces. His presence sent a shiver down her spine, from anger, bitterness and disappointment.

However, she refused to show any sign of weakness, not before this jerk who had betrayed her love.

"Krystie," Alex called out, his voice dripping with arrogance closing the difference between them cornering her between the car and him.

"I didn't expect to see you here, but I must agree it really nice meeting you here." A pained expression appeared on Alex's face before he replaced it with a straight cold expressionless face.

Krystie clenched her fists hearing his sarcastic tone, summoning every ounce of strength to face him. "What do you want, Alex?"

He stepped closer, his eyes burning with accusation and anger. "You acted a victim yet here you are sleeping around in hotel rooms. Who were you with? Another man? Or is it your secret boyfriend whom you kissed last night."

The irony of his question hit her like a sledgehammer. It was Alex who had betrayed her trust, he had cheated on her with her best friend. Yet here he stood, projecting his own guilt onto her.

"I don't owe you any explanations," Krystie retorted, her voice trembling with suppressed rage. "Not after what you did."

"So now it is really my fault, you never even for once allowed me to touch you, you always claimed to have been preserving your virginity until marriage, but what of now, with your tattered clothes and all this bite marks scattered all over your neck? " Alex jeered as Krystie adjusted her dress to cover the bruises that scattered around her neck.

'That guy was such a beast,' Krystie thought to herself embarrassed.

"I trusted you, Alex," she whispered, her voice barely audible. " But what did you do, you threw it all away."

Alex's expression faltered before he maintained his annoying smirk that Krystie wished to wipe from his face.

Krystie shook her head, a bitter laugh escaping her lips. "You don't get to play the victim here, Alex. Not after what you did to me, the fact still remains that you cheated on me, and for that with my best friend.

For a moment, they stood in silence, the weight of their shared history hanging heavy in the air. But Krystie knew that she could never go back to the way things were, not after the trust that had been shattered.

"I'm done with you, Alex," Krystie finally said, her voice steady despite the turmoil raging within her. "Don't ever come looking for me, I don't want to see you ever again."

With those words, Krystie turned to open the car door but immediately she was pinned from behind by Alex, whose eyes were bloodshot red, with anger, he could not take it that she would be one to breakup with him, he felt his ego hurt.

"Since you have already shown me your true colors, how about you also sleep with me, I can pay you handsomely, more than what that guy paid you last night," Alex sneered as he pinned her hands on her head before he closed the difference between them and forcefully kissed her.

Cassandra, who had just appeared from the hotel's entrance stood there with clenched fists as she watched the struggle between the two people, but then an idea struck her mind as she took her phone and took snaps of the encounter before returning to her room with a mischievous smirk, she would make them pay.

Her heart was in turmoil, raging with anger, there was no way in this world that Krystie was any better than her, be it in terms of looks, figure, fashion and job as she is an A star actress, and curvier than Krystie.

Some of which she had attained after several plastic surgeries!

Cassandra has always liked Alex, ever since they were in high school, but not even once had he ever shown any interest in her, he was so obsessed with Krystie and completely ignored her existence, she was always the third wheel in their relationship, acting as a good friend to them.

Krystie on the other hand felt disgusted with Alex. She felt all her life had been a lie, there was never a time while they were dating that he had ever forced her with anything, he was always the caring okay guy that had never even for once said no to her.

With the little energy that she had, Krystie used it to push Alex from herself, she wanted nothing to do with him at all.

Krystie's effort was nothing compared to Alex's built body as he didn't bulge an inch, instead, he just stared at her with his annoying smirk, as if declaring himself a winner after the war.

Once more, Alex pinned her hands before he resumed kissing her as Krystie struggled to free herself from such a beast. But it seemed like the more she tried to get away from him the more he tightened his hold on her arms that she felt it hurting.

It was at the moment when Krystie had given up on the struggle, with tears rolling down her cheeks due to helplessness because no way she could compare herself with him when they both heard a voice, manly and commanding, just behind Alex.

"Leave my woman alone!"
