At age 18, we were faced with a big life decision. 'I'm keeping the baby,' She said as she walked to the other side of my dorm room. Her face was pale and beads of sweat trickled on her forehead.

She always talked about being a mother one day but I didn't think she'd give up her dreams of becoming an author. We both had just started school that year and we were looking forward to the college life experience as well as following our dreams, however, I shattered all of that for her.

I couldn't help but blame myself for cutting her dreams so short and even though she was happy and was looking forward to having the baby, deep inside I knew she was sad, worried, and scared
