27. Meghan

The roads weren't as bumpy as I remembered. The bushes were thicker but a few more buildings had been erected in the neighborhood. Orange leaves decorated the side of the road and the little streaks of sunlight that escaped through the branches gave the place a magical feel. I would appreciate living in a place like this and surprisingly, so do my cousins. 

Uncle Sam was tearing wood as I parked my car in the driveway and got out. He dropped the axe and walked to me.

'Shouldn't Newt be doing the hard work now?' I said as means of greeting.

'Trust me he does but not this one. Not since he barely missed his little toe'. I laughed as we fist bumped.

'You look extra beefy Uncle Sammy'. I commented.

'For real? Well I've been getting some extra care'. He beamed.

'From who?'

'From....' The front door opened and a lady walked out with two glasses of juice loaded on a fancy tray.

'Mrs. Tanner?'

'Agatha, call me Agatha
