Caterina's POV

I moved through my assigned duties with the same outward calm I had practised for weeks, but every corridor felt narrower, every glance from the other sisters more deliberate.

The day after Safiya’s successful extraction passed in a state of controlled tension that never quite broke into open conflict.

The knowledge that photographs were gone made my chest like a second heartbeat, hopeful and dangerous at the same time.

Caterina's POVI moved through my assigned duties with the same outward calm I had practised for weeks, but every corridor felt narrower, every glance from the other sisters more deliberate. The day after Safiya’s successful extraction passed in a state of controlled tension that never quite broke into open conflict. The knowledge that photographs were gone made my chest like a second heartbeat, hopeful and dangerous at the same time.So while I was busy, I felt a sharp slap on my buttocks. “Hey, lovely, holy moly, these chicks are so soft." Jordan said, 'Oh come on, Jordan, what if someone happens to meet us here?'Come on, catty...we have been too serious lately. He rushed onto my lips, but I pushed him away. I'm sorry, Jordan; I love you so much, but please let's be serious about the issues we have right now in our faces.'Ok…ok…no problem,' he said with a boring face.We went quiet, and he just watched me do my duties. He held my hand and dragged me between the tall shelves, clos

Jordan's POV Safiya's pictures were out. That fact alone had shifted the risk balance for everyone still inside the walls.I felt the change the moment I crossed out of my cell. Less casual greetings. More deliberate glances. The usual sound of bells and footsteps went on, but underneath it something had become taut.I took my morning offices with a studied indifference. Caterina stood where she usually stood, among the novices. Our eyes met once, in the chapel, a quick acknowledgment that we’d both made it back safely and that the mission of the night had been a success. But that had to wait for the rest of the exchange. One of the younger priests, who had not previously shown much interest in me, stopped me in the cloister after the service. It was a polite, pointless question, an obvious attempt to take my measure. I made a brief reply and went on. The watching wasn’t so discreet anymore.Agnes found me at the entrance to the scriptorium. She spoke in a low voice, without any intr

Vittorio POVYeah, suck on that thing, yeah!!!! Harder, sister, Auhhhh!!!" Please milk me hard, yehhhhhhh!!" I screamed as she sucked in my precum and kept sucking. "Damn, I didn't know novices fucked better, and here I've been wasting my money on whores."I shakenly brought out my dick and splashed my cum on her face. I dozed off immediately, waking up to a knock on the door. When I opened the door, I saw a man who was drenched and unrepentant. Don't tell me you guys couldn't get a regular journalist. We apologize, sir. Both the images and the journalist were gone. Before my people could control the situation, Brick and the Vale girl had interfered and then disappeared back into the monastery.Without speaking up, I dismissed the messenger. I was speaking up for males who still thought that rage might change the truth. The facts were straightforward and unfavorable. Outside the walls, there was proof of the financial trails and the manufactured miracles. The finely calibrated structu

Jordan's POV I needed better knowledge of Agnes's current situation. The assistance she had provided us the night before had been genuine and timely, but I still did not completely trust the ground underlying it. People who had spent decades establishing a hidden system did not shift direction without first calculating the residue. The morning following Safiya's escape produced no instant alarm, which felt like a warning. The monastery maintained its outward routines — bells, prayers, and allocated tasks — but something in the air altered.Conversations came to an abrupt halt when I passed. A handful of the younger priests avoided my gaze completely. Vittorio was nowhere to be found in the regular locations. That absence worried me more than an open confrontation would have.I found her in the belltower around mid-morning. When I entered, she was standing at the tiny window, looking down at the wet cloisters. She didn't turn instantly.‘You want a fuller picture,’ she said. "I was ex

Jordan's POV Caterina walked ahead of me, holding the lantern low, her movements sure despite the uneven surface. I stayed near enough to catch her if the ground shifted, and my ears were alert for any unfamiliar sounds. The service tunnels beneath the eastern wing were smaller than the main corridors leading to the Heart. And the air here had a strange weight, less of ancient stone and more of damp earth, old roots, and the faint metallic tang of water that had sat too long in the dark. We'd been driving for nearly twenty minutes when we saw the first evidence of Vittorio's troops. Voices, low and controlled, carried through a side intersection. At least two men, and possibly three. Caterina turned out the lantern at once. We pressed ourselves into a shallow nook, the cold stone against our backs, and waited for the words to become clearer."—she is supposed to take the orchard exit. We take her there quietly. "No mess if it can be avoided.""And if she isn't alone?""Then we handle

Jordan's POV The last day of waiting had arrived, with a sky the color of an old iron. I was still thinking about the chat I had with Agnes when I woke up before the bells rang. Her motivations were now more apparent: survival came first, then the need to prevent more harm, and finally something akin to residual conscience. Although it wasn't the ideal alliance, it was nonetheless feasible. For the time being.I walked calmly and purposefully through the morning offices. Across the chapel, Caterina continued to be a silent pillar of support. We had decided to wait until Safiya had extracted the photos before taking a chance on another private encounter. The likelihood that the evidence would leave the grounds undisturbed would increase if we attracted less attention today. After the service, the bishop summoned me to his study. My father sat behind the desk, appearing smaller than he did even a week ago. His face had a gray cast. A glass of water remained untouched beside his hand. "S
