Emilia Abel - POV
My eyes were drooping closed, but I opened them wide as I drove at a little over a hundred miles per hour on the empty road. I have been driving for more than six hours without sleep, and I lost track of my location as well. The sun was beginning to come up from the horizon, suggesting a new day ahead. My eyes almost shut close again when I saw something abruptly jump in front of my car. I didn't have enough time to stop the vehicle as the animal collided with my vehicle, and fell to the floor a few meters away. My heart was beating so fast while my hands trembled from the collision. I quickly got out of the car and ran towards the wolf when it turned into a human. He was badly injured, and I saw there were a lot of cut wounds while he was bleeding from his head. He must easily tower over me when I saw that the entire left side of his chest, along with his arm, was heavily tattooed. With his clean-shaven face and his close-cut hairstyle, it only suggested that he must be someone of importance. Shit! I have no idea who he is, but one thing was certain, he was a pack wolf, and if someone found him dead, I knew they would be after my head. “Argh.” the man groaned. I quickly knelt on the floor and took his head on my lap. “Hey, can you hear me?” I asked him, but all he did was groan. I looked around the deserted road to see that no one was there for me to call for help when I heard the sound of wolves. I looked at the forest when I saw three rogues approaching us. I knew it was not safe to stay in here anymore, so I helped the man up. “Can you walk?” I asked him when he nodded his head as I led him to the passenger seat and helped him inside. After closing the door, I quickly made my way to the driver's side and got in just in time to see the rogues emerge from the forest as I sped out of there. They stared at my car till I couldn't see them anymore. “Do you know any hospitals nearby?” I asked the man. “Don’t g…go to the hospital.” he insisted, but seeing his wounds, I didn't think he would survive. “We can help him.” Silver suggested when I felt fear engulf me. Mom warned me to be cautious, but looking at this man next to me as his life gradually drained out of him, I knew I would not be able to stay put. I looked around when I spotted an old motel a few meters in front. I turned onto the dirt road, parked my car in front of the entrance, and walked inside. The reception was a small area with a desk and two couches for guests to sit, and there was a closed door behind the desk. I walked closer to the desk and rang the bell on it a few times. A few minutes later, a man walked out of the door. “What can I help you with?” he grumbled as he rubbed his eyes to get rid of the sleep. “Um, can I get a room for two?” I asked him while I discreetly took a sniff of the atmosphere. I felt my racing heart calm down when I realized that the man was human. “Sure, but who is the other person?” he asked me as he looked behind me with a frown. “He is my husband. He is in the car, and we have been traveling for a few days now.” I lied. “Okay,” the man replied as he took out his register. After writing down my details, he gave me the room key while he stood there waiting for me to go out. “Aren’t you going to call your husband inside, ma'am?” he asked me. How the hell am I supposed to bring him in when he is soaked head to toe in blood? “Ye…yeah. I will come back.” I told him as I walked outside. I wiped away the perspiration from my forehead as I looked around my surroundings to see that there was no one around us. I walked back to the car and opened the passenger side door when I saw a pool of blood on the floor. Shit! “Hey,” I lightly shook the man’s shoulder when he woke up, but his eyes were staring at the ground. “Can you get up?” I asked him, and he nodded his head. He grabbed my hand and soon got out of the vehicle when he quickly draped his hand around my shoulder as I closed the door. My heartbeat increased while I prayed to the moon goddess that the man should have gone back inside. I don't want that human to call the cops when he sees me walk inside with a stark naked man who is injured. As we walked inside, I let out the breath I was holding when I saw no one in there. As quickly as I could, I helped the man up the stairs and to our room. By the time we walked inside, the man collapsed onto the floor, bringing me down with him. “Ouch!” I whispered when I landed on my hand, and from the pain shooting up my arm, I knew I just twisted it. I got up from the floor and moved toward the man, who was now unconscious. Thirty minutes later, I had managed to wipe away the blood and get a better look at his wounds. There were at least three stab wounds, and the wound that was close to his heart had something inside it. “Do you think we can heal this?” I asked Silver as I assessed the wounds. “Yes, but the wound near the heart looks like it might need to be cut open.” “Cut open! I am not a damn doctor, Silver.” I yelled at her as I lightly traced my finger over that wound before I abruptly pulled away with a hiss. I looked at my finger to see a deep cut on it when my eyes widened in shock. “There is a knife inside.”Emilia Abel - POVI know I should not be mad right now. I don't even deserve to cry because we only have a contract mating bond, but I don't why, I felt like someone was repeatedly stabbing me in my heart. “Because he is our mate.” Silver stated as I furiously wiped away the tears and marched out of the pack house. “Miss. Abel?” I was walking towards Andres’s house when I heard Daisy’s voice, which made my steps flatter when she soon joined me. “So, it's true?” she asked me when I nodded my head as I came to a stop. The sun had already set on the horizon while the entire place was engulfed by the darkness that the night sky brings along. A sarcastic smile appeared on my face while my hand unconsciously cupped my belly. I don't know where I belong anymore. Luis made sure that I would never dream of going back to my old pack, and Andres made sure that I never thought about having a mate again. But among all this grief, I think the moon goddess has blessed me with the one happiness th
Beta Andres Rodriguez - POVAs we walked into the ultrasound room, a nurse helped Elizabeth climb onto the bed when Doctor Quinn walked in a few minutes later. He walked towards her and he was about to close the curtain when I held it. “You can start without closing the curtains, doctor Quinn,” I told him. Elizabeth is a star manipulator and I don't want her doing anything that would ruin this for me. The nurse helped Elizabeth lift her shirt and even though I was praying that she was faking this pregnancy, I was shocked to see that she was indeed pregnant. The nurse applied some sort of gel on her belly, when the doctor started the machine and began moving the wad around her belly while my eyes were glued to the monitor. I already have enough problems right now and I don't want this either. “There is your baby, Miss. Ross.” doctor Quinn finally said after a while as he pointed to the monitor. A loving smile appeared on her face while I stood frozen in my place. “Do you want to hea
Emilia Abel - POVIt's been a few days since Luis had come to the Red Stone pack, and even though Andres had sent him out, I was still on edge. Doctor Quinn’s words kept echoing in my head as I fidget with my pen. “Miss. Abel?” I looked up to see Daisy standing near my open door with two mugs of coffee. “Why do you still look tensed?” she asked me when I waved her off. She walked to my desk and placed one of the coffee mugs in front of me as I took a sip. “It's just the nerves and the stress, Daisy. Anyway, did you talk to the florist?” I asked her as I looked down at the file I was reading. The wedding of my first client is tomorrow morning, and I still have a lot to finish.“Yes, he said he is at the venue right now. But he would like to have your opinion as well, Miss. Abel.” she told me when I nodded my head. “Do I have any more appointments for the day?” I asked her when she shook her head. “We can go and check out the venue if you are ready,” she told me, and I nodded my hea
Emilia Abel - POVTears rolled down my cheeks as I got up from the bed and held his hand. “Thank you so much, Doctor Quinn,” I told him when he nodded his head. “But once Gamma Knight leaves this pack, I want you to tell Beta Rodriguez about this. Do you understand?” he asked me, and I nodded my head. Knock knock. “Come in.” Doctor Quinn called while he pulled the curtain that covered me from view when I saw the nurse walk inside with Beta Rodriguez and Luis. I was lying back down on the bed when Doctor Quinn walked outside. “Please take a seat in here. You can take a look at this screen while I do the ultrasound. And if she is pregnant, you would be able to see that, all right?” he asked when they both nodded their heads as the nurse walked to stand beside me. I didn't know how he was going to show them that I was not pregnant when I saw the nurse spread a cold gel on my belly while Doctor Quinn took his wad and began moving it around my belly. Throughout the process, my heart wa
Emilia Abel - POV“You are correct, Beta Rodriguez. But you know the rules, if she is found pregnant with my child, then you are supposed to give up your bond with her.” Luis mocked when I felt like someone knocked the air out of my lungs. I felt my hold on Andres's arm tightened when he didn't say anything. Alpha Sanders walked towards us while his eyes were locked with mine. “Are you suggesting she might be pregnant, Gamma Knight?” Alpha Sanders asked Luis when a smile appeared on his face as he turned around to face Alpha Sanders. “I am not suggesting, Alpha Sanders. I am certain that she should be pregnant with my child. After all, it's been a month since we had sex.” Luis said as he turned around to face me. “Am I right, Emilia?” “If she was pregnant with your child, she should have shown signs of pregnancy, Gamma Knight.” Andres finally spoke.“And you are telling me she did not show any signs?” Luis questioned when Andres nodded his head. “If she did, I would have sent her
Emilia Abel - POV“Miss. Abel?” I was broken out from my train of thought when I saw Daisy standing in front of my desk with a stack of files in her hand. “I have been calling your name for quite some time. Are you all right?” she asked me when a forced smile appeared on my face as I nodded my head. “I am just distracted. What is it, Daisy?” I asked her as she placed the files in front of me and stepped back. “These files need your signature. And I also wanted to know if I should schedule your appointment with Doctor Quinn today,” she asked me when a frown formed on my face. “He called the office earlier, and he asked if you would be coming to meet him.” she clarified when I nodded my head. I don't know how am I going to meet him now. I am pregnant with Luis’s child, and he will be coming here today, if this information gets out, I know that Andres would not even stop Luis from taking me back home with him. “That would not be needed. If the condition gets worse I will go and visit
