CHAPTER 17: One shot not going to make me flat

"Oh!!! I really appreciate your help, but it's ok, Nate, it's almost finished," she said, watching the remaining five unfilled empty glasses.

From the entrance door of the garden, someone called, "Lisa ... Lisa ... Come here"

Kim's eyes followed his movements, a sense of foreboding creeping over him. He glanced around the room, a silent question in his eyes.

"Hey, Nate... Is everything done? "she asked, walking back towards them.

"OMG! Thank you so much, Nate, and thank you, Kim. You both are my lifesavers," she exclaimed, her face lighting up. "We have only 10 members, but I planned for 32 members."

"It's fine.... We have more glass," Kim teased, trying to lighten the growing tension.

Lisa nodded, "Yeah, yeah..." She turned to the group, her voice ringing with excitement. "Hey guys, we have a little fun game!"

The shot glass roulette was set up in the center of the circle, and everyone was buzzing with excitement, eager to spin the wheel.

Nate began distributing numbered coins to each player. When he approached Evangeline, he subtly slipped his hand into his pocket and pulled out a coin he had taken earlier.

Nate blushed at her words, smiling to hide his hand. Suddenly, his gaze fixed on Evangeline, who stared at him with a mixture of irritation and anger. Their eyes met for a second; she just rolled her eyes, glancing around.

Lisa said, "I said 10. " Another one chimed in, "It's probably 1 or 7."

Wait, the result will be soon, Nate said, winked over them. Finally, the roulette stopped at 9.

"Fuck... Wow, how did you guess correctly? You're something," Rachel said, watching him, like adoring him.

"Not again," someone murmured.

"It's just a lucky Guess," Nate replied, shrugging nonchalantly.

Then the game continued. The glasses only had four remaining shots; Evangeline still hadn't taken a single shot.

Kim interrupted. " You're the one who doesn't have any shots yet, right?" he asked, his eyes fixed on Evangeline.

She nodded silently and held her coin.

Lisa interrupted their conversation. This time, Nate is going to spin the roulette because my lucky charm can get her number correctly..." She announced, her voice filled with playful enthusiasm.

Everyone cleared their throat, coughing to normalize her, "Yeah.... This going to be interesting. "

"Just route the roulette." Luna slurred, holding her empty glass.

"Spin... Spin... Spin!" they shouted.

The roulette whirred, the sound filling the room as everyone watched intently.

The wheel slowed, everyone's eyes on roulette, but Nate's eyes on Evangeline, he clearly enjoying her tension on her face.

"It's seven, "Zoey announced.

"It's me.... Finally, I am going have my first shot, " Evangeline said with smile and cheered up her glass.

"Drink! Drink..." Everyone encouraged.

Now Evangeline spined again.... It's come to stopped at 7 again.... "What.... Is this some kind of glitch?" Evangeline asked, her voice laced with disbelief.

"It's okay.... Take your remaining shot.... Drink, drink," she took, this shot was stronger than the previous one.

"Finally, the game is going to finish. Last shot. Who's going to end the game?" Kim spun the roulette.

It stopped on seven. " What happened to this Roulette?" Luca asked, his voice filled with confusion.

"I can't, guys. I am already drunk. I can't... Even stand properly." Evangeline said, her words slurring.

Rules are rules, Luna said....

"Monday, you going to dead Luna..." she said, watching her with half-closed eyes, her words trembling.

 "I don't care about the future, " Luna said sarcastically.

Suddenly, Zoey stood up and took a shot." You guys are playing like kids. Now, I am the who finished the game..." she said, raising her glass, with a sly smile playing on her lips. Her eyes were half-closed, and with a strong drink, immediately she slipped to the floor.

Finally, the game is over. Everyone headed home. Lisa sent them to one at the entrance.

Now, in the backyard were five members: Nate, Kim, Luna, Zoey, and Evangeline.

Zoey was sleeping on the grass floor like a baby, and Evangeline was slumped over a table.

Luna, her voice slurring with confusion, said, " Shit!! You guys wasted"
