Adele~

Who would have thought that after everything, we could still go through the rest of the wedding like nothing happened?

The reception was epic. I wore the dress Emily got me for the first half, and the one I chose – under Detroit’s unshakable command – for the rest of the night.

The thing I hated about events like this, was how much people wanted to connect. Heavens, it was exhausting! Even with Detroit holding my hand and dragging me everywhere, people still wanted to peel me away from him, especially madams and heiresses.

Royals, politicians, heirs and whatnots lined up like dominoes waiting to fall, each one with their polished smiles and perfumed words. Apparently, marrying Detroit also meant marrying into an endless parade of handshakes and empty compliments.

I tried. I really did. I smiled until my cheeks ached, nodded until my neck stiffened, and laughed at jokes that weren’t even remotely funny. But every so often, I caught Detroit watching me out of the corner of h

Hello, lovelies, Happy new month. I pray the month brings you your heart desire–better jobs, happiness in your homes, sweet, little Silver to seeking mothers, an excellent, protective and doting man like Detroit to my seeking Queens, a gorgeous lovely Adele to my Kings... I Pray you excel in your academics, in your businesses, in your affairs. To those sick, I wish you quick recovery and good health. To the elders, I pray for more years and good health. To the broke kings and queens like me, don't worry, this month is long, tomorrow may belong to us. Lol... To my wealthy readers, may you continue to reap more wealth. I would love to celebrate the new month with more chapters too, but unfortunately, cramps are killing me.

  • Betrayed By Husband And Son: Rise Of A Billionaire Wife    Ryan's Achilles Heel

Adele~His voice sank lower. “And you think you can remove me.”A hush fell so heavy the air stifled.I leaned back slightly. He wasn’t simply lashing out.He was cornered… and dangerous.“That's enough,” the elderly woman said again, this time without her earlier confidence. He gave her a flat look. “Your son’s drug habit is your business. But the fact that you’ve been secretly funneling money into his rehab stints using the company card… now that should be everyone’s business, shouldn’t it?”She gasped, almost like she was about to have a heart attack.Roman burst into laughter again, sharp and vicious. “Oh this is beautiful, really. You’re tearing each other apart. I should sell tickets.”But even he looked a little stunned by how unhinged Ryan had become.Ryan ignored him and stood straighter, rolling his shoulders like a man ready for war.“You wanted honesty,” he said. “There. Raw. Ugly. Real.”His voice drifted into something colder. “Luxehaven never belonged to saints. It was

  • Betrayed By Husband And Son: Rise Of A Billionaire Wife    An Unhinged Ryan

Adele~His trembling had stopped. His panic vanished. His eyes lost the anger and whatever humanity was left. What looked back at me was something feral, unhinged, cold. Then he laughed.A slow, hollow, deranged laugh that scraped across the room like claws across glass.Everyone stiffened.I did too. “What’s so funny?” Roman asked, frowning for the first time since I walked in.Ryan stood, planting both hands on the table. His shoulders shook with laughter. “You think… you can fire me?”The chuckle continued but it was bitter now. “You think… you can humiliate me?”He pointed at them, one by one, with crazed delight.“This company is mine. When I built it from scratch, you were nowhere to be found. The recipe that made you vultures so fucking wealthy, was my mother's. This company is my legacy. My soul. My blood.” His smile stretched unnaturally. “And now, you want me gone?” The directors recoiled. He chuckled again, turning his attention towards me. “I’d rather burn it all to the

Adele~“And who might you be to the company, Mrs. West?” one of the board members asked, his voice wavering between confusion and irritation.“Fifty percent owner of Luxehaven,” I replied. My tone was steady. My insides were anything but. Not after the call I had received from my mother-in-law. My pulse still hadn’t calmed since then. The board member’s eyes widened. “You… you’re behind Vanguard Holdings?”I didn’t bother answering him. Instead, I tapped my nails lightly on the polished table, a soft clicking that cut through the thick tension in the room.Lucy stepped forward with perfect timing, placing a stack of neatly prepared documents in the center of the table. “Per Ms. Adele’s authorization, Vanguard Holdings acquired fifty percent of Luxehaven over the last three months. As such, she holds equal authority with the acting CEO to make critical decisions.”Whispers erupted. Chairs shifted. A few directors stared at me as though seeing a ghost materialize in the center of the ro

Ryan~While the capital bled, Greenville was about to descend into chaos.Ryan had just been informed that another meeting was being held in his company behind his back. He had stepped out for barely a moment, and that rat, Roman, had slithered in again to hold a meeting. This time, Roman wouldn’t escape. He’d kill that bastard today. That was the only thought burning through Ryan’s skull as he bolted back to the company.…The double doors burst open as Ryan barged into the meeting room, panting, wheezing, face flushed from running. All heads snapped toward him.Roman didn’t flinch. He sat casually in a leather seat, hands folded neatly on the desk, posture calm, elegant, calculated. When Ryan appeared, he leaned back and crossed his legs, adjusting the angle of his body like he owned the place.A smile spread across his face. A slow, poisonous curve that didn't reach anywhere near his eyes.Ryan’s vision blurred with rage. That smug posture. That lifted chin. That smile. He wanted t

But they chose to forget that a man like Detroit who could kill a ten-year-old child without blinking would never forgive grown devils who schemed against him and his family. “My lord, please… please. Spare us. Spare my children—” her gaze shifted and she suddenly pointed towards her children's father. “It's him!” she yelled. “It's him and his father who planned it all! They were the ones who wanted you dead. It has nothing to do with me and —”Stab. “Mother!” The woman froze as one of the assassin's blades pierced through her heart. She heard her daughter's scream but she couldn't answer it as a gurgle of blood bubbled up her lips and spilled down her chin. Her eyes rolled back, and she collapsed sideways, the blade sliding out of her chest with a wet sound. Her children screamed, a raw, tearing sound that clawed at the walls… and then, one of the woman's sons abruptly choked when another assassin grabbed him by the hair and slammed his face onto the table. Plates shattered under

  • Betrayed By Husband And Son: Rise Of A Billionaire Wife    Massacre (1)

Detroit~ The dining room was occupied by thirty to forty members. Everyone was either laughing along or nodding their heads to the schemes, except the young man sitting on a wheelchair, and the three siblings behind him – they didn't have seats on this table. They were always meant to watch everyone eat, clear the table and eat the left overs. This branch of the family had the most members because the father married one wife but had mistresses and bastards, whom he eagerly brought into the family at the expense of his wife's comfort. The woman who spoke earlier was his youngest mistress who had a son and daughter for – same ones who talked about making Silver their servant. However, this particular mistress was the cancer of this branch, the self-acclaimed matriarch, who threw the legal wife and her children out of the main manor and watched the woman die from cold, starvation, and maltreatment. As for the legal children – the ones standing behind their crippled older brother
