Chap 10: Conflict

Alisa's face turned pale when she heard this. This reaction made Brenna extremely amused and satisfied.

Alisa was skeptical; she turned to Brenna and asked again: "Is everything you say true?"

Brenna glanced at Fidelia provocatively and said calmly: "Yes. It's because it's the truth that she can't refute it, right, Fidelia? She's trying to act like a pitiful, weak person to seduce your brother. She also used this method to steal my boyfriend."

Fidelia did not think that Brenna would be such a cunning and brazen person. She changed white to black in the blink of an eye. Fidelia was the one who was robbed of her fiancé by Brenna, and that person was none other than Venn. They lied to her until she went to jail.

Fidelia gave Brenna a cold smile. She said: "Brenna, I disgust you with who you are. Even if I went to prison, my personality was not as rotten as yours."

Fidelia's words pierced Brenna's pride like a sharp knife. Although she was furious, she still tried to endure to achieve the goal she wanted. Brenna turned to look at Alisa and Emma and said provocatively: "Did you hear that? It was she who admitted it. If I were you, I wouldn't accept someone with a dirty past like her as my sister-in-law. What if the press knew that a billionaire's lover was in prison for murder? I don't need to say for sure you can guess it, right?"

Fidelia knows that Brenna is deliberately hitting the psyche of Alisa. She used dirty tricks to give Alisa more bad impression of Fidelia. At this point, Fidelia's endurance had reached the limit; she stepped closer to Brenna to warn her:

"Brenna, if you don't want to be the third person to die in my arms, you better keep your mouth shut."

Brenna scorned Fidelia's words; she scoffed: "Oh, really? I thought you wouldn't dare do that."

Fidelia's face was expressionless; the tone turned cold: "What am I not daring when I have been to prison once."

Although Brenna was a little frightened by Fidelia's dangerous words, she made Alisa and Emma disgusted with Fidelia. The corners of Brenna's lips curled up in a threatening manner; she pushed Fidelia back while shouting as if to attract the attention of those around her:

"Fidelia, I know you want to kill me because I have Venn's love, and you don't. Even if you kill me, you won't have Venn's heart. Venn would never fall in love with a cold-blooded killer like you."

"Brenna, you're crazy. Get out of my way." Fidelia shouted; she pushed Brenna away with her hand. Taking this opportunity, Brenna deliberately let her body fall to the ground, hitting her head on the floor to blame Fidelia.

"Oh my God! Your forehead is bleeding." Alisa exclaimed, looking at Fidelia with terrified eyes. "Fidelia, you have finally revealed your true nature. I really hope my brother can see this."

Fidelia realized that Brenna was just acting in front of everyone. Brenna deliberately takes pity on everyone and turns her into an evil person. Her fury exploded, her eyes brimming with red sparks. Fidelia approached Brenna, grabbed her collar, and whispered through her teeth:

"You really are trash and disgusting. I will show everyone your fake face."

The people around gathered; they almost stood up for Brenna. Some people quickly called the police to deal with it. Several others stepped in, attempting to separate Fidelia and Brenna for fear of Fidelia injuring her again. Brenna sobbed, pretending to be the victim of Fidelia's assault.

Some of the bodyguards that Declan had sent to protect Fidelia were also present at this point. When they saw Fidelia, they tried to get her out of this here and alerted Declan but were stopped by Alisa. Alisa warned:

"Remember who you and your group of bodyguards were under? I just need to say one word to my father and your bodyguards will be fired immediately. Not even Declan can stop my father's orders. I am the one who witnessed this from the beginning. She was the one who attacked that person first. It's best you don't interfere in this. Just ignore that fake person."

The bodyguards looked at each other hesitantly; they couldn't disobey Alisa's orders; they could only stare at each other, full of guilt. As soon as the police arrived, everyone present accused Fidelia of assaulting Brenna. No one stood up for Fidelia. Because they only saw what was in front of them but did not know that it was Brenna who was the poisonous snake.

With the support of those around her, Brenna turned her face away, the corners of her mouth quirking up in an evil way. The first step in her plan was considered a success.

When the police were about to take Fidelia to the station to deal, Claude - the captain of the bodyguard group, immediately said: "She is a patient; I think you can't take her away."

Claude had just defended Fidelia when Alisa looked at him with bullet-shaped eyes; she crossed her arms over her chest and shouted: "Claude, are you deaf? Or do you not need this job anymore?"

"Is a patient who has the ability to hit someone else injured in this way? In sequence, I needed to take them both to the police station to make a record. If the victim is willing to reconcile, our police will take her back to the hospital." A policeman spoke up.

"You and Tom take me home!" Alisa grumpily ordered Claude. "Hurry up; what are you standing there for?"

Fidelia realizes that Alisa is threatening Claude. She didn't want them to be awkward because of her and even lose their job. She calmly said, "I am fine. You're going with them. And don't tell Declan, okay?"

Claude was silent and nodded. He watched helplessly as the police took Fidelia away.

When Claude saw that Alisa had entered the car; he quickly ordered the rest of his bodyguards: "Leif, you try to contact Leonard and chase after Mr. Galbraith's car. If you see him, report this. As for Scott, if Fidelia is brought back to the hospital by the police, notify Leif immediately."

Leif, Scott, and Tom nodded at Claude's orders. They quickly dispersed and went on their mission. As soon as Claude and Tom got into the car, Alisa questioned them:

"Are you going to tell my brother about this?" "Don't bother Declan," she warned. "My brother doesn't have time to worry about other people's business."

Claude glanced at Tom, who answered cautiously:

"We only do the work that Mr. Galbraith gives us. So I hope Miss Galbraith can understand."

Alisa glared angrily at Claude. She said grumpily, "Go drive!"

Fidelia and Brenna were later police taken to the police station. Unexpectedly, Brenna knew the sheriff here, so she became even more arrogant and arrogant. Fidelia only showed a scornful smile. She knew that there would be no equality here. So she chose to be silent.

The police chief read her file and learned that Fidelia had been in prison for murder, so he looked at her with wary, questioning eyes. He said sarcastically:

"Do you want to go to jail again, or why will you beat other people? If Brenna reconciles, you will be released. Otherwise, you'll be detained here for three days."

Then he turned to Brenna, flashed a friendly smile, and said softly, "Can it be solved like that, Brenna?"

Fidelia knew that Brenna would never let her go so quickly. She already knew the outcome of this.

"She is a dangerous person. It's best to lock her up so she can think about what she's done." Brenna spoke up.

As Fidelia had predicted, it was natural for her to be imprisoned here. She felt disgusted when Brenna made a flirtatious glance at the sheriff.

She sneered sarcastically: "Perhaps your lover doesn't know he's been cuckolded? Does he know this promiscuous nature of yours?"

"You…" Brenna was furious, standing up like a spring. She almost revealed her true nature. Fortunately, the sheriff reminded her, so Brenna restrained herself. Brenna gritted her teeth and said to Fidelia:

"If you beg me, I will rethink reconciliation."

However, Fidelia ignored her words; she sneered, speaking calmly. "I'm not that stupid. If I beg you, my conscience is very sore."

Brenna felt it was an eyesore when seeing Fidelia's calm demeanor made her really mad. But this is a police station, so there's nothing she can do about Fidelia.

After everything was resolved, Fidelia was taken to a detention room. Seeing Brenna's devilish smile, Fidelia replied with scornful eyes. Brenna is a triumphant person, so the best way to deal with her is to see her as invisible. If she guessed correctly, Brenna was probably angry in her heart now.

"Fidelia, does it feel familiar? How do you feel?" Brenna approached Fidelia, speaking provocatively.

Fidelia looked at Brenna with cold eyes and calmly replied: "just wait! One day, you and your lover will also enjoy the feeling of sitting in prison. I promise! Now go away!"

Brenna's face darkened upon hearing Fidelia's threats. She said as if to reassure herself, her voice trembling: "That…will never happen."

After that, Brenna quickly left the police station. Fidelia looked at her indignantly: "Let's see. You and he will definitely pay for what you did to me."

At this point, when Leif could contact Leonard, he had to call back many times before Leonard picked up the phone: "Leif, what's wrong?"

"May I see and speak to the boss? This has to do with Fidelia."

Leonard flatly refused:

"No… Sir Galbraith is preparing for an important meeting, can't distract him. Please report after he returns."
