Maria realized an instant gloomy expression on Romeo's face when she threw the question at him, which only made her even more interested in knowing his reason for not wanting to talk about his parents. Since Romeo didn't give her the easy way out, making her let out all her secret without hiding anything, and since she also didn't want to keep anything from him, it was his turn to trust her and let out everything he holds a secret.
