Mag-log inOlima hailed a taxi and entered. She paid the driver who drove her back to the residential estate where billionaires and high-profile families live. Arriving at the estate gate, she paid the cab driver for her ride, rushed through the gate, and ran home.
The estate security men wondered what chased Olima. They knew her as a beautiful young lady who used her legs to run errands after her parents passed away. Olima approached the mansion black gate and banged on it. Nathan approached from within, pulled the gate open, and stared at Olima’s face. "Why are you banging on the gate like that?" Nathan asked. He was a young man and, although he liked Olima, he could not cross boundaries; he knew she was his former boss's daughter. "I'm sorry, Nathan. Please open the gate," Olima replied. Nathan stepped aside and opened the gate for her. Olima rushed toward the house. The luxurious mansion was painted white, with flowering plants decorating the front. She approached the entrance to the living room, knocked, opened the door, and walked into the parlor. Mia was still in the living room watching television. As Olima stepped in, her eyes fell on the wall clock; it was 8:30 PM. Without being told, Olima rushed into the kitchen to prepare dinner. She knew her stepmother would soon step out and flog her for wasting time at the market and arriving home late. Olima took out the vegetables she bought and washed them. She unhooked the dried fish and soaked them in a bowl. She cut the meat into small pieces and washed them. She switched on the gas cooker and started cooking the meat. With every second that ticked on the clock, Olima sweated as she cooked the soup. She jumped when she heard the kitchen door slide open. "What took you so long? I'm hungry," Mia said. She walked into the kitchen and approached Olima, who was stirring and tasting the soup to see if it needed more Maggi or salt. "Taste it. Is it okay?" Olima asked, extending the spoon to Mia. Mia did not know how to cook. She opened her palm, and Olima dropped a few drops of soup into it. Mia wanted her mother to discipline Olima for making her hungry. "It lacks salt. Add more salt," she said. Olima frowned and tasted the soup again. "It's okay like this." Mia picked up the salt container, opened it, and poured more salt into the soup. "Mia!" Olima screamed. Just then, Gina walked into the kitchen. Olima shut the pot and moved it from the gas cooker. She still had to prepare the semovita. "What is going on here? It is after 9 PM, and you are still cooking?" Gina questioned. "No, Ma, I am almost through," Olima replied. She poured water into a pot to start the semo. Gina questioned Mia, "And you, what are you doing there?" "Mom, I'm hungry," Mia replied. She stomped her feet and walked to her mother. "Go and sit at the dining table. The soup will be ready soon," Gina stated. Mia frowned. "Olima, be quick, please." "Okay," Olima replied as her stepmother and stepsister left the kitchen. Olima sighed, "Phew!" When she finished the semo, she used her gown to wipe her forehead. She served the semo and dished the soup into plates. She carried the trays to the dining room. Mia sat across from her mother at the dining table. Gina adjusted her seat to start eating. Olima walked to the table and set down the tray. She served her stepmother first, then Mia. The dining table was silent. Olima went to the kitchen for bowls of water so they could wash their hands. She returned to the dining room to serve them. Gina washed her hands, followed by Mia. Olima asked, "Ma, do you need anything else?" Gina frowned. "No. Go and eat your food." Just then, Mia gasped, "Mom!" "What is it?" Gina glared at her daughter. Olima paused and stared at Mia. "The soup is bitter," Mia said. Gina frowned. She dipped her right finger into the soup to taste it. Her face contorted. She stood up and questioned, "Olima, what is the meaning of this?" Gina moved from her seat. Olima took two steps back. "Ma... I..." "You what? Did you taste the soup at all?" Gina roared. Olima shuddered. "Ma, I did. Mia added more salt to the soup and..." [Slap] Gina landed a resounding slap on Olima’s left cheek. She dragged Olima to the table and forced her to taste the soup. "Taste it! Eat it and see how bitter it is. Did Mia help you cook it?" Olima cried and tried to explain. [Slap] Gina landed another slap and started beating Olima. Mia smiled. "You witch! You killed your parents, and now you want to kill my daughter and me too!" Gina yelled. "Please, Mother, I am innocent. I didn't spoil the soup," Olima begged. "Shut up! Get out! I don't want to see your face in this house again. Nathan!" "Yes, Madam." Nathan rushed into the mansion. Gina commanded, "Throw this witch out!" "No! Mother, please! I didn't spoil the soup! Mia did!" Olima tried to beg, but another slap landed across her cheek. "One more word and I will have you arrested. Nathan, throw her outside and never let her into this mansion again." Nathan grabbed Olima by her left arm and dragged her out. He threw her out of the mansion and onto the street at 10 PM. Mia smiled. Gina was happy that the mansion now belonged to her, after killing Olima’s parents to acquire the company and assets.Mrs Juliet still wanted to bond with her grandkids and she begged Olima and Justin to stay and not leave with the twins.Justin smiled and told his mother, "Mom, we are not yet leaving the house."Mrs Juliet sighed in relief and she took Mike and Henry around the mansion, she didn't want the two boys to leave her side. She called her husband on a phone call and showed him photos of the lovely two boys and also video calling with him.Mr Emerson smiled and told her that he wasn't aware and that he would book a return flight back to the country to come see his grandkids too.Olima and Justin stayed back in Justin's family house. They bonded together as a family and ate dinners at the dining table with his mother.Mrs. Juliet finally asked Olima if she had ever gone to pay a visit to her family house again since she left.Olima shook her head and replied, "No ma."They were eating on the dining table and Mrs Juliet spoke about Olima's stepmother. She told Olima that Mrs. Gina had been jai
Olima met with Mrs Juliet's gaze on her. She knew in her mind that if Mrs Juliet had another alternative, she wouldn't be in her office.Olima sighed and replied to Mrs Juliet, "I can understand your decision then ma. But Justin didn't want to."Mrs. Juliet frowned a little and met Olima's nervous gaze on her, She asked Olima, "Didn't you like my son? You made it look like it was only Justin who wanted you?."Olima's cheeks flame red in embarrassment and she replied to Mrs Juliet, "I did like Justin.. but.."Mrs Juliet stopped Olima from finishing her words, she asked Olima, "Tell me the truth. Are you now married? You look like a married woman and I am so scared of what I would tell Justin. I promised him that I would visit you and beg you on his behalf to come home Please come back home and forgive me in particular. I was just hard on you and I cannot explain why."Olima's face turned red as she almost sobbed, but she told Mrs Juliet, "I am not angry with you ma. I can never be angry
Two months passed after Olima and Justin reunited back as lovers, and they became a family even though they hadn't gotten married.Olima hadn't gone to Justin's house was beside hers, to see his house's interior decoration, as she was mostly staying in her own house. She has a lot of entertaining spots in her home, and they usually spend time together whenever Justin visits. They swim in her swimming pool and their twins get used to seeing them together.Mike and Henry already accepted Justin as their father, and Justin now looks healthy and has recovered from his previous slim looks. Unlike the last time that he looks unhealthy.****Jesse has not yet seen the lady of the house that Justin usually visits and even sleeps in her home every day.He only saw the maid of the house and he couldn't ask the maid any questions. One day, Justin's mother called him to return home and she thought to inform him that she had been searching for Olima and she hadn't seen Olima.Mrs. Juliet was not ha

I didn't put my name there, but your name is on the document and in my registry too. How about your dad's company? Don't you usually go there, or how do you cope staying here?."Olima smiled and replied, "I go there only once in a while. Mr. Luke gives me an update about the company and he's very trustworthy too. So I don't have to be there always or visit there.""Mm, I hope that you don't run away from this house before I should go to work and return. Or I shouldn't even leave at all, as I don't want you to run away from me again?" Justin asked, taking more steps to meet Olima, while their two sons kept staring at the two of them.Olima smiled and replied, "No, I won't. Where am I going to run away to?.""Do I know? Anywhere of
The following morning, Olima woke up feeling a small hand tapping on her shoulder as she and Justin were still sleeping on the bed "Mummy!" Mike screamed out as he looked shocked to see a man on his mummy's bed.Olima and Justin startled awake and woke up on the bed as they stare at the pair of blue eyes that was staring at them too."My goodness Mike! Justin replied, "No, I am not... I am not angry with you. I am happy to see you and to be a father, and meet with you again. If there is anyone I should be angry with, Is my mother and not you."Olima frowned and Justin told her, "You shouldn't be feeling any pity for my mother, she doesn't want our happiness.""No, don't tell me that. She's your mom, she carried you for nine months and raised you all by herself. So you shouldn't be mad at her, She would have her reason, I don't know..""Hmm, You are kind" Justin smiled and walked up to meet Olima. He pulled her into a hug again to his chest as she was barely reaching his shoulder height. He said, "I know that is because you're a mother now that's why you're advising me not to be angry with my mother, but is alright, I won't, so long she doesn't come in between us again."Olima frowned a little knowing that Justin's mother didn't truly like her.Justin kissed her cheeks and said, "I do not hate my mom. I am just angry about everything.
Olima feels guilty and not being able to hear that Justin is there. She fears that he might also want to sleep there at her gate. She finally told her security man, "Is okay, Let me go out to see him. Or no, Just let him inside."Olima was worried that someone else who knew her might go out to inform
