In the late Adams mansion, it had been six months since Olima Adams lost her parents in a car accident, and she had been living with her stepmother and stepsister since then, as they had turned her into a maid and withdrawn her from school.

Leo Adams had married Zoe Nelson, and she gave birth to a beautiful baby girl with brown sparkling eyes named Olima Adams. But after Olima's birth, Zoe had complications.

Zoe cried, as she wanted to give her husband more children, but he assured her that his love for her would not change.

Two years later, Leo spoke to his wife about his intention to marry a second wife who would bear him more children, especially a son to inherit all his properties and bear his name, instead of adopting a son, since Olima was a girl.

Zoe became emotional and afraid of another woman coming into her home and turning her husband's heart against her, so she spoke to her best friend, Gina Edwards, asking her to accept and marry her husband.

Zoe and Gina had been best friends before, as they had attended the same high school and lived on the island where the billionaire families resided. They were still friends even after Zoe had married.

Zoe never knew that Gina secretly admired her husband, and she proposed to Gina to accept and marry Leo.

Gina wasted no time and accepted the marriage, moving into the white mansion to live with them.

But as soon as Gina arrived, she changed and started quarreling with Zoe. Gina told Zoe to leave the master's bedroom so that she and Leo could use it, since Zoe could not bear another child for Leo.

Leo was shocked at Gina's changed attitude, as she dared to quarrel with Zoe and even called Zoe a witch for refusing to exit the master's bedroom.

Leo got annoyed and threatened to divorce Gina the following day, but Gina calmed down and switched back to the good friend she had been to Zoe, begging her to plead with their husband not to divorce her.

Leo told Gina, "How dare you come into my house today and dare to quarrel with your best friend? I regret marrying you, Gina, and Olima will inherit all my properties. Tomorrow, even though she gets married to a man and changes her surname to her husband's, she will still be my daughter. So get ready to leave my house tomorrow, as our marriage is over!"

Gina begged Zoe to plead with their husband not to divorce her, and Zoe sighed, as she was the one who had begged Gina to accept and marry her husband.

Zoe pleaded on Gina's behalf, and Leo allowed Gina to stay in the mansion with them, but in a separate bedroom.

Gina hated Zoe from that day forward, as she avoided speaking with Zoe and felt that Zoe and their husband had conspired to marry her and bring her into the mansion to show her how loving a couple they were.

Zoe waited for Leo to arrive home that night and spoke to him, asking him to spend the night with Gina in her bedroom to see if Gina would bear him a son, as that was the reason he had married Gina.

Leo refused, as he was avoiding Gina and did not want to have anything to do with her, since he regretted marrying her. But after Zoe insisted, Leo had no other option than to spend the night in Gina's bedroom, and he made love to Gina.

Leo became annoyed and finally brought divorce papers home, ordering Gina to sign them and leave his house.

Leo couldn't send Gina away with his child growing in her womb, so he allowed her to stay in his mansion with them, but on the condition that Gina would live in the boys' quarters apartment, away from the white mansion, and that she would not quarrel with Zoe again.

Eight months later, Gina gave birth to a baby girl named Mia Adams, but Leo never came to her again to see if they could have more children—and most importantly, a son.

Fourteen years later, Gina's hatred for Leo and Zoe had grown worse. It was only once in her 14-year marriage that Leo had dared to touch her and make love to her, as he claimed he regretted marrying her.

Gina knew she could not leave Leo's house to remarry, as their townspeople had already mocked her for accepting to marry her best friend's husband, and her parents hadn't supported her marrying Leo at first. But Gina had thought Leo would love her; instead, he didn't love her and avoided her.

Gina knew that if she went out and got pregnant to see if she could bear a son for Leo, he would know the son wasn't his, as he only allowed Mia to live in the main mansion with them whenever Mia wanted—simply because Mia was his biological daughter, and Olima also wanted a younger sister to play with.

Gina's heart turned cold, and she contacted a truck driver to ram into Leo and his wife's car, as she knew they were going to the high school for Olima and Mia's graduation ceremony, with Olima graduating from college and Mia entering senior class.

Gina later confirmed the truck driver's successful job and killed him too to hide her secret forever.

Three months after the burial ceremony ended, Gina first moved back into the main mansion that her late husband and his admirable wife had banished her from, and she sacked all the maids, turning Olima into her servant and withdrawing her from her tutorial classes.

Their family members, who had been silent, started visiting the main mansion to determine who would take over the late Leo's wealth and oil company, but Gina was a brutal woman. She had all her in-laws arrested and accused them of killing her late husband and his admirable wife.

All the arrested in-laws had to bail themselves out and sign an undertaking never to disturb Gina and her family again.

Gina later contacted Leo's lawyer to learn about his will, as she remembered Leo had told her that Olima would inherit all his properties.

Gina could have kill Olima, but she did not want her only daughter, Mia, to be alone in the big house without a sister. So Gina decided not to kill Olima, instead turning her into her lifetime maid, knowing no one would come to Olima's rescue.

When the lawyer arrived, he told Gina, "Mr. Leo Adams's will cannot be changed. The will states that the oil company should be given to Olima Adams when she turns 24 years old."

Gina got annoyed and sent the lawyer away. She thought of how she would change the will to make it her own and her daughter's property alone.
