Chapter 1

Olima Adams, a 17-year-old girl, woke up in her room on the top floor and set off to prepare her younger sister's breakfast. She knew that her stepmother disliked her and had withdrawn her from furthering her studies. Wearing a blue nightdress, she exited her room and began to tidy up the house.

Seventeen years ago, Mr. Leo Adams had married Mrs. Zoe Nelson, who gave birth to a beautiful baby girl with sparkling brown eyes named Olima. However, after Olima's birth, Mrs. Zoe experienced complications.

Mrs. Zoe lamented that she wanted to give her husband more children, but he assured her that his love for her wouldn't change.

Two years later, Mr. Leo spoke to his wife about his intention to marry a second wife who would give him more children, especially a son to bear his last name and inherit his properties. He stated that he disliked the idea of adopting a son because Olima was a girl.

Mrs. Zoe became emotional and afraid of another woman entering her home and turning her husband's heart against her. She spoke to her best friend, Gina Edwards, and proposed that Gina marry her husband.

Gina and Zoe were childhood best friends. They attended the same high school and lived on the island where billionaire families resided. They remained friends even after Zoe got married.

Mrs. Zoe never knew that Gina secretly admired her husband. She then proposed to Gina that she accept and marry Mr. Leo.

Gina accepted the marriage and moved into the white mansion to live with them.

However, Gina changed on the first day of her arrival at the white mansion. She quarreled with Mrs. Zoe and insisted on using the master bedroom, which was Mrs. Zoe's room.

Gina told Mrs. Zoe to leave the master bedroom so that she and Mr. Leo could use it as the new wife, since Mrs. Zoe couldn't give him another child.

Mr. Leo was shocked at Gina's change in attitude. She dared to quarrel with Mrs. Zoe and even called her a witch for refusing to leave the master bedroom.

Mr. Leo became annoyed and threatened to divorce Mrs. Gina the following day. However, Mrs. Gina calmed down and reverted to the good friend she had been to Mrs. Zoe, begging her to plead with their husband not to divorce her.

Mr. Leo told Mrs. Gina, "How dare you come into my house today and quarrel with your best friend! I regret marrying you, Gina. Olima will inherit all my properties tomorrow, even if she marries a man and changes her surname to her husband's. She will still be my daughter, so get ready to leave my house tomorrow, as our marriage is over!"

Mrs. Gina begged Mrs. Zoe to plead with their husband not to divorce her, and Mrs. Zoe sighed, as she was the one who had begged Mrs. Gina to accept and marry her husband.

Mrs. Zoe pleaded with Mr. Leo on Gina's behalf, and Mr. Leo allowed  Mrs. Gina stayed in the mansion with them, but in a separate bedroom.

From that day forward, Mrs. Gina hated Mrs. Zoe. She avoided speaking with her, feeling that Mrs. Zoe and their husband had conspired to marry her and brought her into the mansion to flaunt their loving relationship.

One day, Mrs. Gina went into Mrs. Zoe's room and pleaded with her to allow their husband to spend a night with her, since that was also why Mr. Leo had married her.

Mrs. Zoe waited for Mr. Leo to arrive home that night and asked him to spend the night with Gina in her bedroom, to see if Gina would give him a son, as that was the reason he had married Gina.

Mr. Leo refused, as he was avoiding Gina and didn't want to have anything to do with her, since he regretted marrying her. However, after Mrs. Zoe insisted, Mr. Leo had no other option but to spend the night in Gina's bedroom, and he made love to her.

Months later, Mrs. Gina remained jealous and continued to hate Mrs. Zoe, seeing that Mr. Leo loved Mrs. Zoe much more than her. She had thought that Mr. Leo would only love her and abandon Mrs. Zoe for her inability to give him more children.

However, Mr. Leo instead distanced himself from Mrs. Gina. He refused to eat her food and avoided her.

Mrs. Gina quarreled with Mrs. Zoe again, which annoyed Mr. Leo. He finally brought home divorce papers.

Mr. Leo ordered Mrs. Gina to sign the divorce papers and leave his house, but Mrs. Gina refused, stating, "I'm pregnant."

Mr. Leo couldn't send Mrs. Gina away with his child growing in her womb, so he allowed Mrs. Gina to stay in his mansion with them, but on the condition that Gina would start living in the boys' quarters apartment, away from the white mansion, and would not quarrel with Mrs. Zoe again.

Mrs. Gina accepted, as she had no other option and didn't want to leave the house either.

Months later, Mrs. Gina gave birth to a baby girl named Mia Adams, but Mr. Leo never came to see her again to try for more children, and most importantly, a son.

Fourteen years later, Mrs. Gina's hatred for Mr. Leo and Mrs. Zoe grew worse. It was only once in her fourteen years of marriage that Mr. Leo had dared to touch her and make love to her, as he claimed that he regretted marrying her.

Mrs. Gina knew that she couldn't leave Mr. Leo's house again to go out and remarry, as their townspeople already mocked her for accepting to marry her best friend's husband, and her parents had not supported her marrying Mr. Leo at first. However, Mrs. Gina had thought that Mr. Leo would love her, but he didn't and rather avoided her.

Mrs. Gina knew that if she went out and got pregnant to see if she could give Mr. Leo a son, he would know that the son wasn't his baby. He only allowed Mia to live in the main mansion with them whenever Mia wanted because Mia was his biological daughter, and Olima also wanted a younger sister to play with.

Mrs. Gina's heart turned cold, and she contacted a truck driver who rammed into Mr. Leo and his wife's car, as she knew they were going to Olima and Mia's high school for the graduation ceremony. Olima was graduating from college, while Mia was going into her senior year.

Mrs. Gina later confirmed the successful job from the driver, and she killed the truck driver too, to hide her secret for life.

Months after the burial ceremony ended, Mrs. Gina moved back into the main mansion that her late husband and his admirable wife had sent her away from. She sacked all the maids and turned Olima into her servant, with Olima withdrawing from her tutorial class.

All their family members who had been silent started visiting the main mansion to know who would take over Late Mr. Leo's wealth and oil company. Mrs. Gina was a brutal woman, and she arrested all her in-laws, accusing them of being the ones who killed her late husband and his admirable wife.

All the arrested in-laws had to bail themselves out, and they signed an undertaking note never to disturb Mrs. Gina Adams and her family again.

Mrs. Gina later contacted Mr. Leo's lawyer to inquire about Mr. Leo's will, as she remembered that Mr. Leo had told her that Olima would inherit all his properties.

Mrs. Gina could have killed Olima too, but she didn't want her only daughter Mia to be alone in the big house without a sister. So Mrs. Gina decided not to kill Olima and instead turned Olima into her lifetime maid, knowing that no one would come to Olima's rescue.

When the lawyer arrived, he told Mrs. Gina: "Mr. Leo's will cannot be changed, as it states that the company should be given to Olima Adams when she turns 24 years old."

Mrs. Gina got annoyed and sent the lawyer away. She thought about how she could change the will to become her own and her daughter's property alone.
