KATHERINE'S POV

The silence as soon as he walked upstairs into my room, was interrupted by Franklin's excited voice.

"You're here!" He screamed and ran to hug Alex.

Something about the way Alex's hands immediately reached for him and held him tightly made me almost choke with tears.

It was the sight I had always wanted to see ever since I gave birth to Franklin, the sight I've always dreamt of, and now with the shift in our relationship, it seemed almost too good to be true.

I tried not to think about what I overheard him saying to those reporters but my heart skipped and my breath quickened when he raised his eyes to stare at me.

He said he loves me, that he always had.
