"We'll be there soon," Gama said, breaking the chant.

Clarissa nodded in understanding, though her gaze was reluctant to meet the woman she thought had been absent since childhood.

"Don't ever think your mother doesn't care about you. It's not what you think," Gama explained, trying to calm Clarissa, who looked doubtful.

Clarissa stared intensely at Gama, trying to find the truth behind his words; realizing that this was not her mind speaking, she felt relieved.

"Why are you looking at me like that?" asked Gama, slightly uncomfortable with Clarissa's intense gaze.

"Nothing. I was making sure." She replied hesitantly. Trying to make sure everything was okay.

After a short conversation, their car finally arrived home. Gama and Clarissa exited the vehicle and entered the house with different feelings.

Gama tried to break the ice, while Clarissa still felt hesitant about the presence of the woman who was said to be her mother.
