Chapter 8

Livvy's POV Continued

I jumped out of bed after I checked the time to see I needed to take a quick cold shower before getting ready for work at the club.

As I made my way into the bathroom I turned the shower on then turned to see myself in the mirror, I looked a mess. After being caught in the rain, my hair was a mess, curls sticking out everywhere from the way I fell asleep with wet hair, eyeliner smudged making me look like a raccoon.

In this moment I missed my light brown hair, my green eyes without these stupid contacts. I guess I just missed being me.

Shaking my head I sighed before stepping into the shower, I squealed as the cold water hit my body, as it made me shiver while my body got used to it.

I had goosebumps raised over my entire body as I dipped my head back into the stream. It wasn't too awful in my hair but when I stood up straight and the water trailed down my back making it arch, I winced slightly.

Taking a deep breath, I pushed myself to continue until my body adjusted to it as I washed out my hair, conditioned it, then washed up my body, before hopping out.

Wrapping the towel around myself I moved back out towards my dresser to grab some underwear out with a bra. I put them on, then walked over to the rack I had for hanging my clothes up before grabbing a short tight black dress from a hanger for the club tonight.

The sexier you dress the better tips you get, plus I have my boys that make sure I stay safe, and Shayna would rip apart anyone that tried to touch us if we didn't want it.

Walking back into the bathroom after getting the dress on, I put some product in my hair in hopes it would be okay without blow drying it tonight. I put on some light makeup, but no lip gloss because I still needed to eat something before heading out or I'd not be able to until the morning.

Heating up some leftovers on the stove top, I made sure I had everything I was going to need for the evening before looking outside to see the rain had lightened up quite a bit. The sky was still dark, it getting later didn't help that of course, but the grey still blanketed the area.

Sitting down to eat, I saw that Kayla messaged me about Byron along with a couple messages from Andy about coming to the bar, that Jacob would pick me up if I wanted.

I quickly texted him back wanting to take them up on that offer when he texted back that Jacob would be here in twenty.

Finishing my food, I straightened out my dress, then headed down to the lobby area to see Barry still sitting down here on his phone.

"Going to work I take it? Do you have a ride hun?"

"I do, thanks Bare, see you tomorrow I'm sure."

"I will message you to let you when we have full power, I checked with the electric company and they are aiming to have it back up by around midnight."

"Sounds great, talk to you later, my rides here."

I said as he nodded before looking back at his phone again while I ran out to Jacob's car.

"Hey, thank you so much for picking me up...."

I looked over to Jacob who looked as if he had been in a fight with someone, my eyes went wide as he stared at me through a swollen eye when it suddenly began to heal slowly before my eyes making my heart rate spike as I watched in awe as he healed in front of my face.

"Ja... jacob?"

"Hey Els, look, I can explain. I thought it would be healed before I got here, or at least before you got in the car."

"So basically you weren't going to share with me that you got your ass beat by someone? Does Andy know or did you decide a fight club would be fun within the hour you two spent apart?"

He rolled his eyes before looking ahead out the windshield, he still hadn't even driven off yet. He took a deep breath before turning in his seat to face me, his eyes dark as they held a red ring around them showing his lust as he inhaled my scent making me flinch back as Shayna held back from revealing her canines.
