Kaden’s POV

I am probably a bad person and I deserved everything bad that happens in my clan. I know it, I have lived it so I am usually my God, my judge and even when I know I deserve a prize, I make sure I give myself that.

The fire fighters arrived a good ten minutes later and then the fire was already spreading through to the garden and the cottage was sure to be gone. It wasn’t a big and outrageous thing compared to all I have done but it was fire.

I hated flames and I hated fire and anything burning, since… Maybe one day I would be able to think about it. If I did think of it now I won’t be able to resist the urge to throw my new wife into the flames.

“The fire from the back is letting out! The cottage is gone and the farm at the back doesn’t stand a high survival chance, the grounds are barren for life,” Benzo explained, he looked tense and worried. These were not emotions I associated with him and I nodded keeping my expression blank. “Those gardens were my safe space, Kaden.”
