Chapter thirty four

Joe's POV

The City, Joe's House

I stepped out of the room. Everywhere was... clean. And sparkling. I had been in my house since forever but it had never been this way. This couldn't be Emily. I heard party music blaring loudly in the kitchen. That was Emily. -Maybe I should apologise for earlier.

We were supposed to have an intimate moment then my visions ruined everything.

What a moment we had.

Flashback:

I headed into the house. I expected Emily to be asleep. I had faked another late night party to stay away from her. I was having a hard time avoiding her. Being under my roof only made it worse, she was already my assistant at work. Which meant we spent the entire day together.

Loud music blared from the kitchen as usual. She must have been mad at me. 'Should I apologise?'. No need. She should get over it.

When I stepped into the room my bag nearly fell from my hands. She didn't notice me at first, she was having dinner.
