Joe's POV

Demon and Human Summit

Dietri teleported us into the building. It was futuristic- the design,and even the soldiers were holding guns that looked like they packed a punch. We pressed ourselves behind a corner down the corridor.

Dietri drew her bow. "Who are these guys?", I asked.

"Demon Hunters. Stay behind me", she said. We heard a warcry from above us . We looked up from opposite where hid. There was Eida, running from the guards with someone. Dietri fired,effectively taking one of them down. I couldn't do anything, so I could hope that she could escape safely.

Dietri forced me down, a split second before bullets hit. The downpour stopped after a few seconds. Suddenly, I felt a psychic interference.

"Eida", I whispered. I threw Dietri's hands away and stood up. Eida had been shot and the bullet blasted her and whomever she was running with. They both came falling down. I felt something flow in me and took a leap.
