Rosemary’s POV

“You are beginning to look like your mother day after day…” my dad breaths out while looking to me with eyes of admiration. I can tell , that like always he is fighting back tears. My dad misses my mom – I do too ,  but he… finds it impossible to go a head without speaking about her. I know he is hurting , but for my sake he is trying to be the best dad he can be – and he really is…most of the times when his not trying to wed me off to an unknown kingdom.

He walks over to me , while I play with the hems on my dress. My cheeks turn crimson from the attention my father pays to me in front of his important guests. When he nears me , he places his index on my chin , he lifts my head so that I am looking at him. My heart expands with the amount of love and affection that shows in his eyes – he looks at me with love , affection and pride. He leans forward and plants a tender kiss upon my fore head – making a loving tear fall from both of our eyes.

Our moment is rudely interrupted by someone harshly clearing their throat near us – making us break our attention away from the family moment we were having. My eyes lay on an old man , whose hair piece is just all wrong. I look over to my dad to find him holding in his laughter but is really struggling to – and so am I.

“Your majesties..” the man says , bowing down in front our my father and I.

“ It is so good to have to visit the kingdom again , Author” my dad says  , holding his arms out. I watch as Author embarrass my dad – they look like two long lost best friends.

“I see Victoria has made you pull your last hairs out” my dad chuckles ,  referring to his hair piece. I place my hand over my mouth , and giggle into my hand. I watch as Author gives my dad a look of annoyance which is then accompanied by a smile. I start to zone out as the two beside me begins to remise their youth days – the trouble they had caused , the girls they had wooed and eventually started to speak about the girls who had stolen their hearts.

I let my eyes wander , they explore the decorated hall. I take a huge admiration towards the  way the hall had been decorated – simple yet amazing. The buffet catches my eyes as I see so many delicious food – strawberries , chocolate and….birthday cake! I love eating , I love food. Though I was concentrating on the food , I could not help but get a strange feeling. I felt like I was cornered against a wall , while something or someone was circling me. Like a predator , hidden but eyes set on it’s prey – it moves , cornering it. I felt uneasy , this makes me walk closer to my father – which gives me some sense of safety or comfort.

“Rosemary darlin’ , I would like you to meet my son , Andrew…” I hear Authors voices pulling my attention back to them. Besides Author stands a tall , slender man with black and green armor. He has a kind face , and I can not help but feel safe around him. He does a small bow in front of me , and then flashes me a kind smile – his blue eyes makes his smile seem so much brighter.

“Rosemary , why don’t you take Andrew and show him around the castle – it has changed so much since he last here” I internally roll my eyes at my dad as I know what he is trying to accomplish. However , I give my father a small smile and nod my head in agreement – there is no use in fighting with him on this one. I begin to start walking , and I feel Andrew follow behind me.  We passed by many people – some having fun amongst themselves , some women giving me looks filled with hatred , some men looking at me with lust , however , somebody’s eyes burned my skin more than any other person. At first , I thought it was Andrew but when I looked to him , he gave me a soft affectionate smile – it could not been him. We make our way outside , in the place I love most – the gardens. Before I open my mouth to speak , Andrew beats me to it.

“It is really good to see you again Rosemary…It has been far to long since I had saw you…” he looks at me with such affection , affection that almost looks familiar to my dads. I smile at him , feeling utterly safe in his presence – like how one would feel safe with her brother.

“Do you not remember me?” he asks me , and it is sad to say that I did not remember him at all. I shook my head no and pouted a bit . All I heard him do was chuckle in amusement.

“Of course you do not…We used to be the best of friends when we were younger. I remember I was the one who helped to plant that tree right over there…” he says , trying to jog my memory and then points to the beautiful tree that stands a few meters from us. My eyes fly wide open , realization had hit me like a ton of bricks.

“ANDY!” I shout out the nickname I gave him when I was little – the ‘drew’ part of his name was hard for me to say back then so I just called him Andy. He begins to chuckle at me again.

“It’s been a while since I heard you call me that…” in an instant , I run into his arms and snuggle myself against him – and he welcomes my embrace. Though his armor was cold , I could still feel the warmth in his hug. He had been my best friend when I was very young – this was due to the fact that his father and his were too. So whenever they had met , we both would go on our own adventures together. We were as thick as thieves , until one day his father just woke up and left with him – I think the pain was too much so I blocked out all off our memories. No wonder why I felt so safe around him after all this time.
